• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tie rods

Hi guys new member here from Canada. So I've been on spyders from 08 through to my new f3 and I have an issue with my 2014 RT limited. My wife had it in to the dealer today because she was getting a vibration in the front end at around the 55 to 60 mph range. I checked tire pressure prior to the dealer visit and also had the alignment done prior to today's dealer visit. There conclusion was the tires were out of balance. My wife says she notices a little difference but not that big of a difference so tonight after more looking I discovered that there is absolutely no play on the right side tie rod it's almost like it is jammed or seized at the ball joint. So I'm wondering has anyone else had this problem before, would it affect the handling, would it want to pull to the right, can it be the cause of tire cupping, just wondering what you guys think before I go after my dealer to get this problem fixed

First, yes, you should be able to roll the tie rod forward and backward but not left to right. Second, we have come across a few 2014s that had bad tires that were replaced by the dealer.

There were bad ball joints in 2013 but I have not heard of any on the 2014.

Welcome, sounds like some bad tires there. The dealer could change the wheels out from another bike to see if that's the problem. Or you could put your tires from the F3 on it to see if it's better.

Ditch the OEM tires and go with something better. I like Bridgestone Potenza's on the front. Took care of my wobble problems.

Little checking..!!

Do check the tie rods they should move freely in their sockets. Check all the front end then move on to the tires/wheels...we have seen tires and wheels being faulty...
