• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

It's finally really mine.

What are the benefits and features of the PPA ORB wheels? My bike has the same wheels as what is on your new one. They are a PITA to get and keep clean!

The ORB wheels are a half inch wider, so I run 175 vs 165 tires. Larger gaps, less spokes, so easier to clean. This will be my third set of these wheels, as I have owned three 2018 Spyders. I really like the 2019 chrome wheel. However, one of those is the same cost of two OEM wheels. I tried to find a 2019 for this last purchase, and the seller on one in CA backed out of the sale. So I found this pristine 4100 mile 2018.

They sure are pretty! I run the Vred 175 also and they are fantastic! My next upgrade if I can get Mama talked into it will be performance front shocks.

Anyone have a OEM brake pedal that they want to exchange for an after market long one? Or one that they want to part with?

Update I ordered one.

Installed the HD Sway Bar today. Attached is a picture of how I swapped out the bars. I used this host to lift the 5th wheel hitch out of my truck. It lives to tell another story. Had Carol on a anti roll over line just incase. On the gravel RV site it was not going to drive the front wheels up ramps.

Well this baby is ready to be ridden! I installed the General Altimax RT45 215/60R15 on the rear today. Sadly, there is quite a bit of rain in the forecast for the next week or so. Second picture is how I secure the front tires while jacking up the rear. Because I am on gravel here in Washington, I ran a long spike into the ground to make sure the boards did not slide.

I found a nice independent tire shop just a couple miles away. Nice young Hispanic kid just like the tire shop I use in Apache Junction, Arizona. They mounted the tire with a new valve stem, they kept the Kenda, and charged me 30 dollars. So $131.95 plus the 30 bucks makes me happy. While they were doing the transmission recall, they wanted $150 labor, $200 or so for their tire, plus tax. And I have a tire I wanted, not the one the BRP wanted me to have.

So I have basically finished making this newest Spyder mine. Now to add some more miles on beyond the 700 or so that I have added so far. Clock is at 4889 now.

I am also happy that at 82 I can still do things like this.

Well this morning before going on a 60 mile to have pizza in Stanwood, Wa I decide the belt was too tight to the side flange of the rear pulley. I did not touch the adjustment while replacing the rear tire, however it moved to the right from where it ran before and after the transmission recall. So I loosened the axle nut and turned the adjust about 1/8 turn CC, and tightened it back up. Now it is away from the flange, but a little closer than it had been. Probably the mystic 2 credit cards away!!!:ROFLMAO:

I again like having a General Altimax RT45 215/60R15 out back. Speedo is only off 1 MPH vs the 2 MPH it was off with the Kenda.

Did a 150 mile ride today. Really heavy mist this morning that made the windshield look like it was raining. Saw deer with young fawns twice today. Both mothers were standing in the road, and first fawn was out on the road also. Second time the fawns were on the side of the road. Have put just short of a 1000 miles on this new to me Spyder.
