• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Annoyingly, my '21 RTL will only cancel Cruise by touching the brake pedal or downshifting - are there any other ways?

The cruise button turns on the cruise initially and it stays on until you shut the engine down. Once you use the set button to pick a speed you can cancel the set with a press of the cruise button, at least on the 2024 RTL
2021 cruise button stays in the on position and turning off doesn’t change that. Refire and the cruise will be on.

There is already a button on the handle bars, the cruise button also cancels the cruise.
Now you have an idea. Alter the switch so that it’s sprung into the ON position and doesn’t snap to OFF, then you could cancel cruise via flicking it OFF, but it wouldn’t turn off…

You will still have to push set, as resume speed is lost.

My take away here is that there are three "flavors" of RTs, each with a unique set of instruments and controls. Early, pre 2020; middle, 2020-2023; and late, 2024 and +. I will endeavor to only assist others with a similar vintage of RT like mine in the future to avoid confusion.

The roll-the-throttle-forward feature started on the 2024 model year. Not just for cruise control disengagement, but also for reverse gear selection. You can override the windshield movement on shutdown.

When I bought my 2021 RT, I turned the cruise control to the on position on my first ride and I have never turned it off. I use cruise control all the time to take pressure off of my arthritic hand. Normally, if I want to end the cruise control I just tap the brake, and have never found that a less than ideal method (it alerts drivers behind you that you are slowing down). Then when I want it back on, a quick press down on the cruise button and I am good to go. I find this system on the RT very intuitive and easy to use. My one ride on a 2025 model found a different system, but one easily used as well.
