• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. OEM Tire showing cupping - is this something that goes with the brand?

2023 Spyder RTL, 20200 original miles, Kenda OEM front tires. Both front ties showing equal amounts of cupping on inside and outside of tire. Tires close to replacement as per wear indicators. Tire pressure diligently checked, no abnormal steering, handling or braking difficulties. I do not ride aggressively and occasionally will have someone occupying the seat behind. Noticing various complaints regarding Kenda tires - is this something that goes with the brand?

Generally, yes. Replace the tyres with car tyres (recommended brands can be found by searching this forum) and you'll notice a big improvement in handling & mileage. Please also note that car tyres should be run at lower pressures of around 18psi, not the same pressures that BRP recommend for the Kendas.

Welcome back. Gaining back 15 years is a God send, but be mindful that our bodies have changed in many ways. We don't have those quick reaction times anymore, and we break much more easily than we used to. So give yourself that little extra distance and don't let your mind wander, if you know what I mean. Stay focused and many happy trails, one up & two up.

I last rode a road bike in the mid 1980's when I had a 1978 Kawasaki KZ 650 SR. In Oct 2020, I bought my first Spyder. I have bought three 2018s now and I still have two. I rode snowmobiles through the 1990's to 2006, so learning the Spyder was similar to those. Now in my 80's and love riding the Spyders.

Kenda tires are the OEM junk from the factory. Many BRP dealers will not replace the Kendas with car tires even though the Kendas are inferior to ANY car tire. This forum is rift with examples of poor quality OEM and options on upgrading for a far better ride. Independent tire shops will usually swap if you carry in the wheel.
