Can Adding cruise control to a 2014 RS SM5 by just replacing the RH Hand grip/Control module?

I just bought a 2014 Spyder RS SM5 and read on here about other models being able to just replacing the RH hand grip/control module to add cruise control. Does anyone know if it's the same for the 2014 RS SM5? Can I just replace the RH hand grip/control module and get cruise control? I found one on eBay that was a bit faded. Considering getting it and maybe trying to use my stock covers with it's internals.

Folks in this thread talked of doing this on both a 2015 and 2013, so looks good for you. And if I’m reading it right, you’ll just need the sliding control button and that half of the outer shell. Your current right hand module has the guts already inside.

Thank you for the reply. Looks like if I were to buy the part new, I'm looking at around $300. Whereas used on eBay is about half that. And the used one is faded. The Spyder I just bought is a 2014 and only has 2,500 miles on it. Has not been left out in the sun. That's why I was hoping I can still use the front and back covers on my module with the internals from a used one or should I buy the new part.

I did that on my 2014 RS SE 5
Thank you for the reply. Did you have any problems with it or issues getting it to work?
