Has anyone installed a Sirius XM receiver/player on their Spyder RT? I would like to install one on my S2S.
Why don't you just add your smartphone to the Sirius plan and Bluetooth to helmet speakers? Might be able to put phone in storage and use data cables to spyder speakers

There are lots of places I ride where there is no cell signal.
I have used one of the portable units, I think Onyx is the name. Mine is mounted on a bracket from the windshield and I have a short antenna mounted to a small L bracket on back of the radio. It's connected with Aux cable to the bike. I have had this on no less than 3 bikes, probably as many cars, and it works great.

As Racoon did, I researched your claim. I did this because when I ride in upstate NY, I frequently lose cell reception, so no GPS, no XM radio, etc. My cell phone is rendered useless. I found that there are only 6 phones that switch to satellite signals (iPhones 14, 15, 16, 16W series, Google Pixel 9, Samsung Galaxy 25, and Motorola Defy2). Moreover, they are all limited to emergency texts (iPhones can share location too). Many phones use satellite reception when they can no longer reach a cell tower. Check with your carrier to see if yours is one. I live and ride in the empty West, but find I am seldom out of reception coverage on my phone based Sirius XM. It is part of the app based Sirius from my truck subscription. It is reliable enough that I no longer use my Onyx unit.
The 2024 and up Spyders have no provision for hardwired AUX or GPS audio inputs. They are BLUETOOTH only.Just purchased a 2024 RTL and am hoping I can wire in my Garmin 665 (with XM) into the Spyder sound system. It does have an aux out (3.5mm) so I'm hoping it will be simple.
