• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

External Speakers no longer working on 2025 RT-L - How do I open the fusebox? Is there a special trick?

I have a 2025 RT Ltd. After a recent ride, the external speakers no longer work. I was attempting to open the right fusebox but was unsuccessful. The manual says to press down on the fuse cover and pull. I am pressing down on the ridges located on the top of the fuse box, but it seems that a great deal of force is required. Before I break the cover, is there a special trick in removing the fusebox covers?

Thanks in advance.

I’ve seen other posts referring to placing the external speakers into mute mode. I went through the system settings and did not see that option. Where do you find this option?

Probably in the Audio menu under Preferences?

The audio output is selectable from speakers to headsets, no mute. I have that setting added to the Mode switch as well as the display for fuel MPG/Range and Temp/Voltage, so I can select them on the fly. Stock set up means you have to be stopped to change them by touching the display but if you move them to the Mode button you can change it while driving.

Just a follow up on my original post. The external speakers were muted. Touching the speaker icon on the display screen enables the mute option. Adjusting the volume up or down will turn off the mute feature. This was not working during troubleshooting. The tech updated the system using the dealer BUDS which rebooted the system. This resolved the issue. Thanks to all who responded to my original post.

That is good news, but did the dealer teach you how to open the fuse boxes? You still may need to get in there someday.

No. I do agree that I will need to access the fuse box going forward. I actually forgot to ask. The dealer did a great job of getting me in and out as well as taking the time to answer all of my questions. Not asking was totally my fault. I believe that I'm not applying enough force to disengage the locking mechanism.
