• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Making custom Linq gear - any ideas &/or specs, diagrams, etc to help?

I ryde a 2023 F3 Limited SS. It has the Linq top box. I'm having a custom dog carrier made for my service pup. The fabricator is asking about how he can make the carrier so it utilizes Linq. I'd like to take the carrier off and put the box on when I want to. He's made many carriers for other types of bikes, but mine is the first Spyder.

I've searched the internet high and low and can't find a ready made base or anything that could be attached to the carrier to utilize Linq. And I can only find videos of Linq. No diagrams or specifications.

Does anyone know of a solution? Or a way the carrier can attach to my bike and it be a solid crash worthy connection? The carrier is like a steel roll cage. Not a soft carrier type.

Why not let the fab guy get measurements straight off the bike? LinQ maybe a little proprietary on what they like/accept. The Fab guy might even find better alternative mount points - *might*.

My Spyder does not use the LinQ system, but from what I've found online, the LinQ top box should be easily removable.

So remove the top box and let your fabricator see how it attaches to the bike so he can build the carrier to attach the same way.
 
Thanks. It's logistics and I'm not with my bike until the end of Aug. He's going to start my carrier very soon. I'm in NC, bike is in FL, and he's in TN. A friend may be trailering my bike to NC next month. So that may be the best option, to take it to him. I've never taken the box off, so I'm not sure what it looks like without that. And I can't find any pics either. He's extremely clever, and he loves making things to solve a problem. He's making me a trailer too. This is the Ruff Rack, not my dog. Thanks for the replies.

Thank you! I looked on the site but searching for F3 so it didnt come up. I was talking to the guy this morning and Im going to go to dealer and take pics for him.
 
I won a Linq backpack, but my 2019 F3 base model was not equipped for Linq. I purchased a rear rack, and bought the Linq rack attachments, and a steel flat bar, where I mounted the Linq attachments, and mounted the bar to my rear rack. I could now carry my backpack or any other Linq accessory on my rear rack.

Neither site specifically lists the F3 Limited SS in their fitment guides, so contact them before ordering.

And all of the racks I found that did say they fit the F3 Limited were racks that mounted on top of the top case.
 
When I purchased my Canyon I wanted to use the trunk from my BMW GS. I purchased the Ski-Doo LinQ Universal Rack for REV Gen4 860202208 from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09J9796VP?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title. It has two latches that connect to the LinQ fittings on my Canyon. I just marked and drilled through the bottom of my trunk and bolted on the rack which attached to the fittings on the Canyon. It seems very sturdy and is quickly removable. I don't know if it would work with your dog crate but it is worthy of consideration.
