What could cause this Squeal on starting out in first gear?

I've read (I think) all the posts about chirping and squealing noises, but I haven't found anything that addresses my problem. When accelerating away from a stop, a squealing noise comes from somewhere up front. If I didn't know any better, I'd say it sounds just like a loose fan belt. Depending on how hard I accelerate, the noise will last for several seconds or more. if I really baby the throttle starting out, I may not get any squealing noise at all. Engine sounds are all normal at idle and while cruising. There is a lot of discussion about drive belt noises, but my dealer just replaced my rear tire and adjusted and aligned the belt so I'm not yet ready to blame a belt that has less than 10,000 miles on it. Is there anything else that could be the culprit?

It could be the torque shaft that drives the alternator. It is designed to slip under a heavy sudden load and will sometimes chirp/squeal when you accelerate.

Yea, chirping. My dealer just told me that it is the alternator shaft on my 2 month old RT L. Back ordered until September.

When you get it changed, please provide an update. I have the same noise and discussed it with my tech. He told me 2 other riders I happen to know complained about the same noise. On one of the rides, BRP had him change the alternator, and other parts connected to the alternator, but the noise remained. BRP determined it is not an issue that will cause a failure, so we keep on riding.

I've got like a harmonic humming going on that kind of comes and goes, I have to check out! I would like to ride another 1330 machine to see if it's a normal sound I am hearing or something I should get checked out!
