• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Ryker 900 always leaks at the oil filter cap - what's going on?

I did not know you were going to take it to Ron's, seeing that you're from Southern Mass! That would be a great idea, good luck, you're in good hands! (y)

I've actually decided not to take it on the trip. I don't trust it anymore at this point. I've already got it sold and a guy is picking it up this weekend.

I bought a 2024 Ryker Rally that I will be leaving stock. I need something reliable for these road trips I'm taking.

That being said, I'll still stop by Ron's to say hi and check out the shop during my trip.

Wow... sold already. That was quick ! I can uderstand your frustration & nervousness, so you did what was best for you. Hope the 2024 looks after you better. :)

After reading about porous engines and various things on here
beginning to think I should not have bought Ryker.

It can be started with a magnet, so it's easy to steal.

I think I should have kept my Triumph Speed Triple
that didn't have any problems.

My Google search brought this information...

Triumph Speed Triple models, particularly the older 1050 and newer 1200 RS, have been reported to have a variety of issues, including brake problems, gearbox issues, and electrical problems. Some owners have also reported issues with oil leaks, low oil pressure warnings, and quick shifter malfunctions.

I wonder if these owners wished they'd purchased a different ride as well. Bottom line, every machine has its issues. But don't ignore the great majority who have found trouble free bliss and long term enjoyment.

Sorry my fault I should have said my triumph was a Street Triple 765 got mixed up
while posting cos my mates Speed Triple is in my yard at moment
doing a few bits ready for M O T

Understood. But my point was not so much the model, but the concept that they all have potential for problems. Granted, some more than others. Not picking on Triumph. I've wanted a Rocket ever since they came out. But I'm sure if I researched that model, I'd find that it has issues as well.
