• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I updated OTA software/firmware on my 2024 S2S - anyone else seen the back-up camera option?

Mine wasn’t showing up either… when in the menu, the last item down is the camera - enable that and I get the blank screen, with lines, on my 2024 S2S. It also has a blank plug at the back… I have done a few cameras and they no longer need a coax, the 3 wires there should be enough.

I'll be darned! I never thought to try scrolling down on that menu list. Sure enough, there it was. The option to enable the camera. Without a camera picture, the blue screen is a little overwhelming, so I disabled it. Now, to see if I can find that camera wire connector.

Need to take the back apart some... here's a photo I took... I don’t know for 100% if it’s the correct one, but that’s one with nothing connected to it (blind plug) as well the front left hand fuse box show backup lights and camera on the same fuse... left hand lower corner...

Any other updates on this? Has anyone tried plugging a camera into that blank harness and testing if a video feed shows up when in reverse?
 
I talked to my CanAm Dealer today re the rear view camera update for the 2024 Spyder. They have done this on some 2024 Spyder RT's and S2S's!! They actually replace the fender portion as seen in Dansy's post above. The camera hooks up to the harness seen there. The real expense is having to replace the fender with a 2025 one. They have tried a few times just cutting the 2024 fender to mount the camera but according to them its very thin and doesn't hold up. The fender lists for about $225, the camera kit $249, the labor is $232, and the total is $740.

Here is a pic from the camera... Kinda expensive, but we need something, as we travel with both Spyders in our 24 foot enclosed trailer, and it would help when backing one in - actually anywhere, but in our case, particularly into the trailer.

So whaddyathink?

The panel is actually a lot less then I would have thought… I might do it later, but I really don’t want to take the back end apart again, it’s riding season, well if miss weather start to smart the hell up…

If you think you really need it, it’s only money :)

Do you have a part number for the fender? I haven't been able to locate it in a brief search; I found the camera and will get that, but I want it to look stock on Dad's 2024 RTL.

Looks nice!
