• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thanks for the welcome and advice - Spyder comes home tomorrow

The new “Zoot-Scoot” is home. Put on just 70 miles to get it home from the dealership and didn’t take me long to get acquainted vs 2-wheels. It’s fun but I’m still grabbing for the invisible front brake lever and keep forgetting I don’t have to put my feet down at a stop

Thanks for the welcome and advice - Spyder comes home tomorrow

I appreciate everyone’s feedback and comments lately. I know I’ve been asking a lot of questions and I’m sure I’ll have more. I pulled the trigger on my first Can Am, a used 2015 Spyder F3-S SM6 today. It’s up at the dealership now getting a fresh oil change ($350) and new front brake pads...

Manual Trans Riders - does downshifting/engine braking hurt?

In all of my years of driving cars and motorcycles with manual transmissions, I have always downshifted and used the engine to help brake the vehicle. However, I read in a different thread that this could possibly cause issues with the front sprocket, causing even more wear than with the recall...

Will a Stock F3-S work for 2-Up Riding? (on a fixed income)

Does anyone ride a (2015) F3-S with stock suspension two-up? I know the Spyder materials say it's best for a single rider. I also know that there are plenty of people (with potentially more disposable income than me) saying you must upgrade all shocks and get a sway bar for it to handle...

    2009 Spyder with 1000 miles...

I plan on buying a 2009 Spyder with only 1000 miles this week from a private seller. It's garage kept - single owner - obviously never ridden. All service, including annual battery replacement has been done by a reputable dealer. What are some things I should look for with that year - and a...

What was your out the door price

I was quoted $15,000+ at a dealer in SC for a 2020 Ryker 900 Rally & they didnt mention any rebate or free panel upgrade - even though I knew and asked them several times. They also charged $2300 for prep & destination fee, plus several hundreds of dollars in document and admin fees. They...
