• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Taking Spyder along

Arntufun, My wife and I fulltime in a 41' toyhauler. We do it for chasing work in the construction industry. We have used the toyhauler to move our Spyder, but now we have an enclosed cargo trailer for the Spyder that my wife pulls. We tend to stay in one spot for months on end. There are all...

    Reflector?

How does the red oval reflector on the rear fender support attach? Is it just taped on? Mine got a chip in it and needs to be replaced.

Any ideas for January ryding in AZ-NM-TX?

I've been in Hobbs for 3 years now and it is in the SE corner of NM. Weather in January is typically dry and windy with lows in the 20's and highs in the 50's. Best bet for great weather in January is Arizona and Southern Cali.

    Cracked engine oil bolt

Sorry about your troubles. I would support the bike up on jack stands. Get a drill bit and left hand thread tap, 1/4"-20 maybe. Drill hole (I think its a 7/64" for 1/4"-20) into whats left of bolt and tap out. Install left hand thread bolt and tighten until oil plug comes loose. I had my own...

You're a lucky one Firefly. My wife and I have been away from the UP for almost three years now for work, and miss the great summers there. We love northern Minnesota also, having lived in Virginia and Cloquet for a while. We are in SE New Mexico now and will be taking a trip on the Spyder to...

Now they come out with this,,,,

Thanks for the link r1eater. I have never seen that setup before. If the quality is as good as the Cardo's, these will be the way I go. I like the Cardo except for the speakers.

Now they come out with this,,,,

I have been waiting for these to come out, but I was hoping Cardo would make these with a jack to replace the speakers with earbuds. I surgicaly removed mine on the Scala 2's and replaced with a headphone jack so I could plug my earbuds in.

    Mounting a GPS

I went with one of these. http://stores.ebay.com/motorcyclegpsmounts The Ram mount for 1 1/2" handlebars will clamp down tight with a thin piece of vinyl in a single wrap in-between to protect finish. It fits around the cast aluminum handlebar and the black plastic cap underneath with no...

    Seeking Helmet Hedset Recommendations

Well I'm new here, but since I just performed surgery on my Cardo Scala I thought I'd add a bit of insight to this thread. My wife and I ryde 2 up on the Spyder and have been using the Q2 for a few months. The bluetooth communication portion of the headset works great. We were just not happy...
