• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    ROADSTER Clutch Assist Installation (SM6 F3 Models) - 122791

Very important - The TST mentions that this is not covered under any warranty.

    One more time Vibration experiment

It is on page 645 in the service manual. The 7,500 RPM limiter also applies to a disengaged clutch when in gear.

Interesting performance comparo between F3 and Indian

Since my last post I have replaced the gauge spoiler with a Route 129 windshield. I expected the added frontal area of the windshield to lower my Spyder's top speed but now I can redline fifth gear (117 MPH) both with and against the wind, even when the headwind is strong. I can hit 123/124 MPH...

    transmission goes clunk...

Look in Section 2 Subsection 14 (GEARBOX) on pages 280-281. (Edit: That is for the F3 manual. You should have a similar section in your RT manual.) 420265120 Angle Rotation Sensor $134.99 R&R should be under 1 hour flat rate time. YMMV

    Throttle

The spring under the cap is held in two places. The outer part (pictured below) is easy to line up. The inner part locks into a little hole and it is difficult to get it into that hole because you need to preload the spring. I have found that the easiest way to get the spring in right is to...

    1330 oil change interval

It does if you do the oil changes at 100 hour increments. I'm at 177 hours today!

    1330 oil change interval

I've switched to changing my oil every 100 hours. It is easy to remember and the display reminds me. 100 hours for me is between 4,500 and 5,000 miles. Edit: My local Wal-Mart allows me to bring in oil in a five gallon bucket and dump it into their tank. I reuse the bucket.

    Checking Coolant Level/Excessive Fan Activation

This might help: I'm not saying you have this issue, just that it might be a possibility. YMMV

Installed the stright shot pipe by Akrapovic

I was hoping the muffler would get louder and have better tone as it "broke in" but it still sounds like it did when new. However, it sounds very very nice inside a tunnel. Too bad the only tunnels where I live are underpasses and are very short. I don't think I'd buy it knowing what I know...

Sway Bar for new F3 S

I don't have an upgraded sway bar on my F3, but I have experience with sway bars in general. It has been my experience that a stiffer sway bar works great to a point and then lets loose very quickly. A softer bar has a region where you get some feedback that things are about to go bad. I don't...

    Gas cap

If you fill to the top you can overfill into the evaporative cannister. I let the pump kick off once and then I stop. Then the fuel level is 4-6 inches below the cap. I easily get more than 225 miles on a tank so (IMO) there is no need to squeeze in that last bit. YMMV

    transmission goes clunk...

I forgot to mention that (to me) this is the critical diagnostic clue. Your SE6 can shift properly under a set of reproducible conditions. It shifts harshly under another set of reproducible conditions. There is no way to change the conditions. So, we just need to figure out why the machine is...
