• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Remount Zumo 660 GPS

This is not something I would recommend. The Garmin Zumo 2595 was made for automotive and not motorcycle use, thus does not have the weather proofing built into it, hence the price of the unit.

It has been a crazy 18 months to be away from the site. Headed out tomorrow to Spyders on the Bayou so if you are going to be there, I look forward to seeing you.

Motorcycle GPS vs Car (Portable) GPS?

I will add my $0.02 in here. I find it best to go with the MC GPS due to the fact that it is waterproof, more rugged than the car and you can operate it with gloves on. The part about being in the rain with GPS that can handle it should be enough. Nothing like being on a road trip, get...

    GPS Question

I do all of my routes with Basecamp. The key is to have updated maps on both the computer you are working on as well as the GPS.

Might want to put it on a trailer and take it to Winston-Salem or Knoxville. There are some good dealers in those areas. (From what I have been told.)

how do I get this panel off?

You will have to remove the seat as well as the forward panel. Only 4 screws and 2 bolts to get to the rear panel. Once you have access to it, just unscrew it and there is a tab that will have to be pushed in to remove it. Be careful with the tab.

    Plug for Garmin Zumo

On the F3, the GPS power is on right side, under the small rear panel. You will have to remove the seats to be able to remove the panel. Make sure you check the polarity of the connector before you just plug in your GPS.

When I got the 590 and handlebar mount for the F3 it came with everything needed, and it has the connector on the end. If you need a connector, PM me.
