• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    1330cc 2015 Rts Hard cranking

Yes I had replaced the battery before I wrote the above post.

    1330cc 2015 Rts Hard cranking

I again thank each of you for your help. Yesterday I had the battery load tested. It was bad. It seems to be starting correctly now. Two years ago I replaced the battery and it reduced the problem, but did not correct it. From the day two years ago the start characteristics just...

    1330cc 2015 Rts Hard cranking

ButterSmooth, Thank you! I did not think of this as a way to divide between the battery and starter, but of course your idea would do just that. I have been afraid to try to start the engine with the charger connected. I know you should not Jump start these bikes with the power supply vehicle...

    1330cc 2015 Rts Hard cranking

I want each of you that have responded to know, I truly appreciate your input. In many cases each of you have confirmed my thoughts. My next step was going to be to take the battery to be load tested. This I will still do. Checking high amperage current flow on a DC system takes an expensive...

    1330cc 2015 Rts Hard cranking

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it. No I don't keep it on a tender. I live in south Florida and ride year around. I put this battery in two yeas ago because this same problem was occurring. The new battery changed nothing. Lately it has been getting worse. Never been fully discharged...

    1330cc 2015 Rts Hard cranking

I appreciate the input. I took voltage readings today. All readings were taken at the battery terminals. ( I just bought my VOM (Volt ohm meter). We recently moved to a home with a single car garage and I gave my tools to my son) I am disappointed, it uses only whole numbers, no decimals...

    Tire air pressure ?

I have the stock Kenda's on my 2015 Rt. When I first picked it up from the dealer it was terrible to ride. The front fenders shook sideways to where I was afraid the mounts would crack. The dealer checked it and found the front tires had the cords laid in a wobble pattern when being made...

    1330cc 2015 Rts Hard cranking

I made my living as a tech rep on gas turbines and related equipment, so this type of thing is not unfamiliar. The problem is God has blessed me with 82 + years of life and my mind is not so swift. Your post reminded me to check voltage and amperage. I had failed to think of this. Thank you.

    1330cc 2015 Rts Hard cranking

Has anyone experienced a hard to crank (turn engine over on starter). The problem is the worst when the engine is warm. If I sit and let it idle to where the fan comes on it occasionally will not crank at all. I initially thought it was the battery as it was more than three years old, so I...

    LED Strip Lights

Blue Knight I agree, unless you are in Orlando, Fl. I live here and love it but the lighting tolerance is crazy. Red, blue and green lights on the front continuously. Dodge chargers with the ring of diodes around the headlights in red then drive with the head lights out.

How old is to old to ryde a Spyder or a Ryker?

I am 80+ yeas old. I recently drove a Honda CRV from Orlando to the center of Texas in 1.5 days. I drive Uber in the Orlando area to make the payments on my Spyder Rts. And yes I still ride my Rt. I believe physical age is not the factor it is mental age. My father in law was still driving...

    Spyder, Best Kept Secret

For me a Spyder was my only choice. I am simply too old to risk two wheels. Prior to my 78th birthday I had not ridden on three wheel since childhood. Now at 80+ I can still get out and ride. I must admit I miss leaning into turns and the heady thrills of it. I don't miss the chance of...

    New dunk Decals

I like them. Would like something of that type for my RT.

    Tire Pressure thoughts

Very well stated. It is easy to get all wrapped up in meeting a tech writers spec, that takes the joy from the ride.

    Tire Pressure thoughts

turers Mike, Yes I have OEM Kendas, I am in total agreement with you regarding replacing Kendas with car tires. Both front and rear. There is no reason for motorcycle profile tires on a Spyder. No disagreement. Also take notice that I stated extremely low and extremely high tire pressures...
