• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Time to put the old Hendle back on my wife's RS

The packing was used up on my wife's RS Hendle muffler. The bike was popping from time to time and and getting kind of 'throaty'. So I put the stock muffler back on. I need to repack the Hendle now and I have been looking at the various vendors for the material. Anyone have a favorite? As far...

Riders vs. none riders opinion of Spyders-Rykers

It comes down to fun. . . . a Spyder is a big kid's go-cart on steroids. A Spyder allows people who don't want to hold up some Goliath beast and pretend to be cool to ride a 'bike'. A Spyder allows people who have infirmities or physical limitations to eat bugs and have the wind in their face...

So, How ya'll doing out there in Spyder land?

After a few years of just maintaining my wife's Spyder along with a couple of motorcycles, my enthusiasm for my wife's RS is back. In the year 2010 we bought an RT because I was having an issue holding her up on my bike (due to a peg leg and a worn out knee on the other side). The down side was...

Illinois Valley (Cave Junction is nearest town). My wife has a 2010 RS. It all started with a 2010 RT which logged 37,000 miles in two years before we sold it to someone in Brookings.

    Winter riding in Oregon?

Ride in the Rain? Cat and I are down to one Spyder, her RS. We sold the RT a couple of years ago with almost 40,000 miles on it in two years. . . . if there isn't any black ice on the road, we are game to ride. I am now on a BMW C650GT scooter and just turned over 28,000 miles today . . . ...

I can not bash the spyders!

Loved our 2010 RT . . . . We put a lot of miles on it in the 2 1/2 years we had it . . . just under 38K miles . . . but we had to have it towed in twice because it would turn over and not start . . . . one time it was multiple relays that took over a month to figure out because our dealer had...

150 miles for a Rootbeer Float?

Corn Dog run . . . Last weekend we put on just under 300 miles going for a corn dog at the Chevron in Fort Jones in N.California . . . while part of the ride was on the super slab I-5, the weather was gorgeous (looked like it was going to pour rain on us at home in Cave Junction, OR . . . . but...

    Sway Bar question

Anyone remember the DPS problem? One of the mods Cat and I did to our 2010 RT and RS shortly after we bought them were Evo sway bars . . . the RT got Elka's before the sway bar and the RS got the Elka's after the sway bar. The sway bar made an incredible difference and helped to quell the evil...

    Now mine....

Thanks for the visual information on installing the Steibels! We ordered the horn, Oxford Heaterz heated grips, Storm handguards and an adjustable windfoil for on top of the factory touring windshield on Cat's RS, and so I had a day's project. These parts came from Twisted Throttle. I also...

A Spyder RT that will go 200 mph!

200 mph on any Spyder? With the aero dynamics of a shoe box? You could put a friggin Formula One engine in it and maybe go that fast . . . . but who would want to? Around this part of the country we have to have a a 'deer tag' just to get a bike license . . . before the updated DPS, 60 MPH...

Are you planing on owning the new ST ? If so post here!

not everyone likes bugs in their diet . . . You might ask her what she really likes to do . . . not everyone is a motorhead . . . My brother bought this big touring machine 'because his wife said she would ride with him' . . . . I think that he was the one that wanted it, but sort of blamed her...

    Soar Butt

something else that helps . . . . ride often! Just like on a bicycle, your butt gets used to it . . . . we have Corbins on our Spyders, better than stock but not perfect. . . . you can still get the 'barbed wire underwear syndrome' thing going on. . . .

Looking for advice on a full face helmet intercom sysytem

head sets we have the blue ant? head sets . . . mostly ok but we are looking at the Sena's . . . our local Bmw/Ducati/Triumph dealer swears by them. The set we have works ok; the voice activated mouth piece is always turning on and picking up the wind, etc. They are good for a long distance...

Warning about the new Fox shocks

Elkas -sway bar and picking up front wheels . . . Have both the Elkas and the performance sway bars on our RT and RS - I have managed to pick up a front wheel on the RT 3 times now at slower speeds with out the nanny kicking in. These were tight and off camber turns. Another Spyder pilot...
