• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2100 miles yeah, 2100 miles for a rear tire is really excessive. I got 2900 miles out of mine  UWE

well, I can't really argue against that. I can't talk about safety while posting videos of my buddy and girl friend doing stuff that's illegal on the street. Bad judgment on my part. Sorry to anybody I upset. You might want to consider adding something to your forum guidelines that you promote...

they could probably do that with another sensor in the seat?

    Thrown off the Spyder

I'm sure that's what I would have done - hold on at all cost. Bailing out isn't something I learned. Maybe dirt bikers do that instincty? I'm still new on the dirt myself ...

well said. I think I'll take him to the race track with the Spyder (on a rainy day), we would have a blast. I like the "safety card" that's build into the dash, that's a great idea. My Goldwing and Victory Vision have a "ride safe" message coming up on the dash every time I start them.

    Thrown off the Spyder

sorry guys, I didn't mean to start such controversy. I posted it because it was pretty funny to see him run after the Spyder and hop back on ... I think "max continuous" summed it up: My buddy is a very experienced biker (dirt and street) and likes to push the limits. The limits pushed back...

they can buy appropriate insurance. Some don't want to offer demo rides because they can't sell a bike for full price if it has a few hundred miles on it. I don't want to tell dealers how to run their business. But some do it really well. Arlen Ness is around the corner from me, you can hop on...

we'll have to share this one, don't have any room left in the garage ;) She is talking about getting her motorcycle license and riding a bike but I rather see her on the Spyder, much more safe.

yeah, Kregg @ Speeds Sport in Livermore is great. I bought 3 other bikes from them (all Aprilias). I still want to take his 550 Supermoto bike on Mines Road, it's a very twisty road from Livermore to San Jose...

I was diagnosed 7 years ago with MBS (multiple bike syndrome). ;) When my Aprilia dealer gave me a Spyder for a loaner while they serviced my Caponord I knew I would be in trouble. I had already ridden a Spyder last year at the AZ bike week. But a "supervised" group ride in a residental area...
