• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is the 2019RTL pre-wired for heated seat option?

Point taken but I figure if the factory has something in place thats suited for the seat, there shouldn't be any issues with my intended purpose. (e.g. Right gauge of wire, proper fuse, etc.) Hoping someone out there has actually done a seat install and can point me to where to look to find...

Is the 2019RTL pre-wired for heated seat option?

Hello Spyderlovers! I know there are some aftermarket options for heated seats but I'm specifically interested in whether BRP offers a heated seat up grade for my 2019RTL. If they do, I'm betting they've also pre-wired for it to some degree and that there is a pigtail of some sort in the...

    2018 RTL GPS/Accessory 12 VDC Keyed circuit

Thank you! I was excited to find this photo but I'm afraid I don't quite know where in the photo to look. Hunting for what appeared to be the "gas tank ground bolt" as a landmark but I'm still scratching my head. Pardon my ignorance but can you add a photo with an arrow or some sort of...

    Hard wiring a GPS

By chance do you know where I can find a diagram like this for the 2019 RTL? Thanks in advance!

Where can I get power from for an a/mkt GPS?

Hey there! This is the intel I've been scouring for here in the forum for my 2019 RTL. Can you tell me anything else that would help me identify this connector with certainty? How many leads? Just two? Do you recall colors of the wires? Any details about the shape of the connector you snipped...

Why is my 2019 RTL getting poor fuel economy

OK, Some interesting replies, gents. Not at all what I was expecting but let's run with the notion that essentially "you're driving it wrong" for a hot minute... So if the on board computer is worthless for MPG tracking, I guess I should ask if the distance to empty countdown is also...

Why is my 2019 RTL getting poor fuel economy

Greetings Spyderlovers! I just acquired a used, 2019 RTL from a private seller. It's in showroom perfect condition with just over 5K miles and plenty of extended warranty left. I was pleased with the deal and the test ride passed my muster so I paid the man and rode it home. That 300+ mile...

    Its Back!!!! Throttle body code

It happened again. My 2010 is throwing P1614 after only about 1200 miles since the throttle body was replaced with the 3rd generation part in September. I always run premium fuel and use Sea Foam or Lucas fuel treatment every 3rd tank or so. Aaaargh! This is the 3rd time this bike has...

2010 RT has trouble holding a straight line

Thanks for the input everyone. Not exactly optimal riding season just now here in Washington state. If there's a break in the weather, I'll try and get it in somewhere for a look-see. Will let you know how it turns out. David

    Laser alignment

This thread spawns a couple questions for me as it may tie in to my other post. 1. I'm very interested in knowing the specifics of the handling experience and symptoms that ryders encounter before and after having a Laser Alignment done. In other words, what specific issue(s) does the laser...

2010 RT has trouble holding a straight line

Greetings from Washougal, Washington! I'm a little past the 1 year mark and about 6,000 miles of road time with my 2010 RT SM5. One thing I've recently noticed is that she bobbles around a bit to the left and right when on a flat straightaway. It'll be just fine for 3/4 mile or so, then the...

Cat Bypass pipes for the 998 engine availability

So pardon my ignorance here. I've read a little about cat delete and the main advantage that stood out to me (as I understand it) was that you end up with a little more power. I pull a cargo trailer a few times a year so a bit more oomph is of interest. I have a 2010 RT SM5 and I might be...

DIY magnetic mirror mounts - much assembly required

Greetings from Washougal, WA! I started this project of DIY magnetic mirror mount (mmm for short) for myself but I ended up abandoning it and just bought the pre-made set from Lamonster. I figured there might be someone else out there who would enjoy finishing what I began so I'm offering this...

Ignorant questions about jacking up the RT

Ahh! I like that latter suggestion a lot, @AeroPilot!: Lift her to stretch the range of motion of the suspension but not enough to float the wheels in the air. That's a really great tip! Thank you!!

Ignorant questions about jacking up the RT

Thats PRECISELY the input I was looking for, Mike. A very creative suggestion about the ramps. I'll try that next time. Meanwhile, the remedy for getting the rear up in the air is also excellent. I knew I'd seen some sort of caution about the shock so I dared not go there at all. The added hunk...
