• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Battery Charger Options - Any advice

I saw several recommendations on Spyder Lovers for the Battery Tender. It appears that there are two models...a 6 volt and a 12 volt. Both provide 1.25 amps and are the same price. Since I'm clueless about much of this detail...which one makes the most sense for the Spyder? Any guidance is...

    NOCAL Owners

I had significant difficulties with American Power Sports after the sale. The registration for my Spyder was screwed up (it was registered as an ATV). Dealer was not helpful at all in getting it corrected. At the end of the day, I ended up paying to register my Spyder twice (once on the invoice...

    T-Rex for sale on eBay

As long as money's no issue...might as well put in my wish for a 400 hp Kamikazee. Bargain priced at $80M. I think I might beat Lamonster to the punch and put some wheelie bars on the Spyder. (I expect to see a "how to" section from him within the week on that mod)

    Spyder Fuel Cell Mod

Now that you don't have to stop for fuel...what's the plan for bathroom breaks??? Is that mod on the front end?

    whatzit?

I'm surprised by how many reverse trike configurations are actually available...the Spyder was my first exposure to this concept. A thorough listing can be seen at http://reversetrike.com/ready-to-ride.html I love the Spyder...but a few of these could be tempting and one heck of a lot of...

Request help locating stamped EIN & VIN number

American Marine Sports in Sacramento. Not very helpful when the tags came in wrong...actually hung up on us when we asked for proof to take to the DMV to prove that he registered it properly. I'll have to make a longer drive for the next service, but won't be returning to that one.

Request help locating stamped EIN & VIN number

Jeuchler, I did use the manual...not very helpful for a novice user as I was looking at the wrong parts of the bike. A neighbor driving by saw my puzzled look and stopped to help me find both numbers, so I'm ready for my visit to the DMV tomorrow with my disassembled "ATV". Thanks for the info.

Request help locating stamped EIN & VIN number

Somehow my dealer messed up my license and registration, and now my vehicle is registered as a 3-wheeler ATV (off road) in the state of California. The dealer refused to help, so now I have to go through the DMV verification process.:banghead: I need to show them the stamped Engine...

    Hindle Exhaust questions.....

Way2Fast, Just sent you PM on the Hindle discount. My unit is stock, but after hearing the YouTube comparison and seeing another after-market exhaust, I find my Spyder to be boring with the stock exhaust. Less than 50 miles on the Spyder in week 1 and every mile getting more and more...

Safety of Spyder versus typical motorcycle

I have been on this board since Oct 07 when I order my spyder. I haven't posted that much(infact I had to create a new id for some reason). But I read something like this where someone goes in and just buys one when I have been waiting for 7 mths. I happy for twalte2281, I really am...It is just...

Safety of Spyder versus typical motorcycle

Thanks for the feedback...I went ahead and made the purchase today and brought home number 2281. I think I was very lucky to avoid the wait (I had a deposit down two weeks ago). Sounds like the supply has almost caught up to demand. I have to say that it handled quite nicely on the highway...

Safety of Spyder versus typical motorcycle

I'm about ready to make a final purchase decision between a Spyder and a typical motorcycle and I would really appreciate any feedback from Spyder owners who have owned both. Do you feel that the Spyder is a safer option than a normal touring cycle? The steering felt a little strange to me on...

    Frieght and Prep in CA?

I just put a deposit down yesterday (Sacramento) and the freight was listed at $1295 and the dealer prep at $495. Caught me by surprise, but I'm not committed yet. Fortunately, I don't have to make a decision until more Spyders become available.
