• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ok. That's twice now. I've got to say it time for BBQ!

    2012 SM5 Downshift Issue

Yep, Bruiser. Same issue, and coincidentally, our RT mileage is almost identical.

    2012 SM5 Downshift Issue

I wanted to follow-up on the issue in case it may help others. I checked the clutch fluid and the level was fine. But, I did notice some sludge. I took the Spyder to the dealer and had them flush and replace the fluid. The mechanic indicated he had never seen such sludge and suspected some...

    2012 SM5 Downshift Issue

I apologize if I was not clear, I was trying to shift from 2nd to 1st.

    2012 SM5 Downshift Issue

I'm not sure I understand what you are trying to tell me. I was not trying to find neutral - I was trying to down shift from 2nd to 1st while slowing to red lights. I've never had any such issues downshifting on any other bikes I've owned and/or ridden, including Harley's, Kawasaki, Yamaha's...

    2012 SM5 Downshift Issue

Yesterday, after riding for about 75 miles, I started having trouble downshifting from 2nd to 1st while coming to a stop at lights on my 2012 model RT-SM5. A couple of times I actually had to pull through the light in 2nd because I couldn't get into 1st and I had traffic behind. I've got about...

BEST SERVICE CENTER NEAR EAST SIDE ST. LOUIS/ILLINOIS??

I have used both Ted's in Alton, IL, and Holzhauer Pro Motorsports in Nashville, IL. I prefer Holzhauer as I seemed to get better customer service there. I bought my Spyder at Ted's and my trailer at Holzhauer.

    Full face or 3/4 Helmet

The wife and I really like our Nolan N43E Trilogy helmets. We always use the chin bar when riding, but remove the bar while putting the helmet on or taking it off as it makes it much easier with eye glasses.

    CARNAGE!

I travel extensively to a lot of third world countries and what you see in the video is accurate. While traveling as a passenger in a car in those locations I just close my eyes because I can't watch.

I agree. They are very nice. John is a true gentleman who wants his customers to be happy.

Photo Request - Seal Floorboards on RT SM5

I did install John's shifter. I haven't had a chance to give a good and honest try out yet and really was checking to see if it's correct. I did go around the block a couple of times, and like you captblack, I had a little trouble hitting second. I see a lot of photos of the SE5 version, but...

    Thanks to BajaRon

This is just an out loud thanks to BajaRon. The wife and I have Nolan N43 helmets - mine is the N43E Trilogy and hers is the older N43 Trilogy. As most may know one difference in the two is the shield pivot mechanism. The N43E allows the shield to be partially opened in a couple of different...

Photo Request - Seal Floorboards on RT SM5

I tried posting a photo earlier, but my computer skills apparently are not yet up to the task. However, the measurement from the top of the floorboard to the bottom of the toe peg is 1 1/8 inches if that helps. I'll try to figure out the photo posting again a little later.

Photo Request - Seal Floorboards on RT SM5

I would be grateful if someone could post a photo of the Seals left side floorboard mounted on the RT SM5. I installed John's RT SM5 DLX version on my RT SM5 and would like confirmation from others on the distance between the shift lever toe peg and the top of the floorboards. John, by the...
