• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is there something you need the Cardo app for while you're riding? I never use my app except to establish a new Bluetooth connection but curious if I'm missing something. Here’s a diagram my husband made to illustrate. He's an electronics engineer, but this config is just based on what he...

I was able to get ACP working too. Yay! Had to jump through 8,472 hoops in the process, but finally got the update downloaded, installed, and set up with my phone and Cardo. I’ll spare you all the error messages, although my favorite one was “not enough battery power to install.” I ended up...

@Markari, this is really interesting stuff! It could be complete AI conjecture, but having worked in tech/software, a lot of it sounds legit. You’d think BRP would have identified these issues (whatever they are) in the QA process. If the problem is hardware, those of us who bought 2024 models...

I got one of those letters from BRP in the mail this week too. I might need to get some new handlebars.

When ACP first came out on Subarus (2019-ish) there were a lot of issues, including the icon being completely greyed out, no audio, difficulty connecting, issues with iOS updates, etc. So maybe it takes a while for vehicle manufacturers and Apple to get all the hardware and software working...

Memory unlocked! That sounds beautiful. You may have driven through the Big Thompson canyon, where the (you guessed it) Big Thompson River winds along the road. Geography nerd side note: that river begins as snowmelt in the Continental Divide, through Loveland, and becomes a tributary of the...

I’m trying to focus on this right now too. Last weekend I rode to my local little dinky airport and had breakfast at a most excellent food truck while watching parachuters drop out of the sky. Then went for my first canyon ride, including some nice twisties, and it was wicked fun. I love my RTL...

A week ago, I got this response from BRP customer service:

This is a legit and logical point. However, since this thread is primarily participated in by (and likely intended for) people who have already given BRP their money, repeatedly telling them not to give BRP their money is moot. I get that it may be annoying for people who are not experiencing...

This is really interesting. I live in a neighborhood with lots of wifi networks. When I went to connect the RT, my network showed up at the bottom of the list, but it did connect for long enough to say that there were no updates available. It disconnected and reconnected repeatedly, so I wonder...

I got a very similar email from a different CSR today (emphasis mine): Perhaps they have figured out that moving the goalposts every two weeks wasn’t really helping. I don’t want them to tell me it will be ready at the end of May when they know it won’t, but it’s disappointing that the...

2024 RT Ltd display shuts off - back to dealer!

I’m sort of there with you. My replacement 2024 Spyder RT is pretty great so far, except for this Car Play thing. I didn’t buy the RT for the ACP, I’ve lived this long without it, and I’d probably survive just fine without it in the future. The larger display on the 2024 is a big improvement on...

Considering 2023 RT base vs 2023 RT Sea to Sky - is the S2S worth it?

Happy ending! I am pleased to report that my dealer 100% did the right thing and kindly granted my request to exchange the defective 2023 S2S with a new 2024 RTL. All of the staff - from the GM to sales, finance, and the title clerk - were very nice about it and apologetic that this had...

Considering 2023 RT base vs 2023 RT Sea to Sky - is the S2S worth it?

Thank you so much. Sounds like you got a great deal! You are right; even not counting the transmission, I am already having to wait several weeks post-purchase to have the other repairs completed. At this point, what I want is for them to let me trade the S2S for a 2024 RT Limited. I’m not...

Considering 2023 RT base vs 2023 RT Sea to Sky - is the S2S worth it?

I have an update, and the news isn’t good. The service dept checked the suspension and say it’s working as expected. I am a little skeptical, but letting that go for now. There are a couple of other parts that need to be completely replaced, including the console fairing (mis-aligned) and the...
