• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    TreeHillSpyder turns in the keys

Thanks Everyone. I'm doing well, just getting very nostalgic about being on the open road. I know that there will be one day where I can return... but I will still be on the boards and am willing to help others get out there and try the Spyder who are in similar circumstances to me. Life is...

    TreeHillSpyder turns in the keys

It's been a good ride with this Spyder. Never thought I'd be able to ride a bike at all to begin with. I've enjoyed it for the three years I've had the chance to be a Spyder RS SE5 Owner. The rack worked great for me, as did the hand brake. So glad I bought the comfort seat. Maybe one day...

SE5 Dies at the Gas Station after fill up

All Fixed Hey Everyone. The Spyder is all healed up. Now has a new battery and fires up like a champ. Apparently the old battery wasn't holding a charge well and I hadn't been using my trickle charger regularly, so the inevitable happened. Apparently another Ryder here in town experienced...

SE5 Dies at the Gas Station after fill up

Thursday Update... Hey Everyone, A few of the guys from my dealer here, Wilmington PowerSports, came down and took the bike back to the shop. After being on the trickle charger all night, it fired up this afternoon without incident. They still wanted to check and see if there is a problem...

SE5 Dies at the Gas Station after fill up

Update Hey Everyone, Thanks for the feedback. I have the Spyder on a trickle-charger for the night. In the morning, I'm going to try and turn it over. If that doesn't work, then I'm going to get it towed back to the dealership and have them test/switch the battery, and also check the rest...

SE5 Dies at the Gas Station after fill up

Hey Everyone! There's probably a tread for this but the other day I was going out to meet some friends Sunday and stopped to get gas, then the Spyder wouldn't turn on. It started clicking when I'd hit the ignition and never turn over. Had to use BRP Roadside Assistance for the first time...

    Warming Up Engine

I have learned to wait for one bar. Hey Everyone. I have learned with my 09 SE5 that I need to let it warm up to at least one bar. If I don't do this, then it does have some very noticeable hesitation between first and second gear. I don't find it to be a huge issue at this time. It's been...

How to modify RSS for handicap rider

Scary Yeah I agree, I have driven with hand controls that have a thumb assist that are twist-based for the acceleration and I don't really think this would be a viable option for the spyder. A cheap way to try something might be a cramp buster or something. There may be some more adjustment...

    Who are you?

RT around Goldsboro on Sunday I think I saw you as well when I was heading back to Wilmington on 117 towards I-40. Unfortunately, the Spyder wasn't with me. I also saw an RS with two riders headed north earlier in the day on I 95 crossing the VA border. Brian Wilmington, NC

    How to store the wheelchair

Don't have experience with folding chairs, can't stand them. :) Like Seth, I have a rigid chair and rack from David at rackiton.com and still have use of my passenger seat, and the girlfriend loves riding the back. Chair does not interfere with having a passenger. Brian Wilmington, NC

Glad I never read this b4 I bought

Response to Article I am glad that I didn't base my purchase on this article last year. I am living with Cerebral Palsy and Spina Bifida and have thoroughly enjoyed the Spyder and believe it has been safe to operate and a heck of a lot of fun. Brian Wilmington, NC
