• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Haven't been on the site in a while, but please let me know when the next ride in N NV area is. We're in Sparks and have friends here and in Ione, CA with Spyders. It's good to see more out and about, I was one of the first!:2thumbs:

Looking for a loud pipe - any ideas?

Hubby just put my TBR Dual Carbon Fiber pipes on my Spyder. Love the sound of the cam rumbling! But I will be getting the power tips to quiet it down for my hearing's sake and those around me. Anyone have a suggestion as to the P1 or the P1X? MIght take the powertips off when we go to MotoGP...

Anyone Going to Laguna Seca for Moto GP this year?

We're headed for MotoGP at Laguna Seca over the 4th of July weekend. I was the only Spyder there most of the time and the only one on the track for the parade lap! I know there will be one more cause my friend blew the chain off his Katana and replaced the bike with a red Spyder. Any one else...

    Any Spyder Riders in Reno

Yep we're here! I see a few every once in a while, I live in Spanish Springs valley. Our friends just bought a red/black so there's one more. I bought mine before Michaels became a dealer over in Rancho Cordova, near Sac. We should try to get the Reno Ryders together sometime. Maybe at...

    Anyone going to MotoGP/Laguna Seca

Last year they took us out in escorted groups. You really didn't have a choice, you lined up and wherever they cut the group off was it. They don't let you go real fast, but I think we were doing almost 60 on the straight right after the Andretti hairpin. Fast enough for me as a passenger. I...

Is anyone out there going to Laguna Seca for the MotoGP next week? I will have my Spyder there and we have parade lap passes so she'll get a run on the track and a crack at the famous Corkscrew! I passengered that ride last year, I'm really excited to ride this time! It was the first place I...

    Saddel bags

Picked up the Marsee bags at a local outlet store for around $40 a piece, otherwise they are quite expensive. I saw a post with a set of Cortech bags by Tourmaster. They quoted $ 140. I don't know if that included the harness. We had already made our own awhile back, just adjusted the straps to...

    Saddel bags

We used a set of Marsee bags that we picked up pretty cheap at Sierra Trading. Michael made them into saddlebags for his BMW 1150R and the set also works on my Spyder. They hold a ton including my outdoor cover and are removable to take in at night. Here are some pics from different angles.

    OIL

I got my Repsol 5w-40 at the Honda dealer. Bought it in the big jug. I bought a small bottle of Castrol to stow in the trunk for emergencies. I was having trouble finding the 5-40. Our new dealer here doesn't have anything in yet and most of the other places didn't carry the 5-40. They could...

    Laughlin Anyone?

We're leaving tomorrow afternoon for the River Run. We'll go to Laughlin on Saturday. Anyone else going to be there? I would love to meet some of my fellow Spyderlovers! Let me know where and when, or some way to contact you.

    Turn Signals

 That's what I was looking for. What is the part specifically from Magic Man? Does it take care of the previous concerns on overheating, etc?

    1st and Reverse

I have often wondered the same thing "did I actually pull in the clutch enough to shift?" It always shifts so it hasn't been a problem. In our MSF class, we got dinged if we weren't in 1st gear every time we stopped. That class was three years ago, and I did very little riding in between but...
