• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    F3 High Speed Pursuit Machine

Problem is the "High Speed" part. A Hyundai Elantra can go faster. I think it would be tough to catch someone on a Spyder.

    Need info on tires please

I don't get it...what's going to get messed up with liquid in a sealed tire? Are these various balancing liquids corrosive to aluminum or rubber?

    Life Expectancy of the Belt

Wow, that's great to hear Ann! So the big issue is rock damage. Do you guys typically replace sprockets when you replace the belt? I read somewhere that it's recommended. :dontknow:

Questions Regarding RT Models Prior to Purchase

Thanks Joe! Folks on here have told me that, and I tried it for a tank-and-a-half. The full tank was 25.2 MPG was in 4th gear at 62 MPH the whole time. Since going back to 5th gear for cruising I'm back in the 28s. I don't get it, but it's no big deal. Nobody buys a Spyder to be frugal, and...

    Life Expectancy of the Belt

Good morning everyone. Was thinking about the belt lately. Only 14,500 miles on our '13, but I'm new to this so I ask a lot of questions. I read a few weeks ago that sprocket replacement is recommended when you replace the belt, which makes it an expen$ive endeavor to undertake. What's the...

Questions Regarding RT Models Prior to Purchase

Fuel economy has been our only disapointment, we just picked up a '13 RT-S three weeks ago. All of our riding is on rural highways and interstates, predominantly between 60-75 MPH. Only one tank above 30 MPG, and we've decided to name it "Thir$ty".

    September Caswell Ride

Just wanted to stop in and say hi. Wife and I are new Spyder owners as of three weeks ago, and I've been poking around SpyderLovers ever since. Had no idea there was even a Minnesota group on here. Quite the coincidence that you guys are leaving from Caswell...we live about fifteen minutes...

    How much you wanna bet

Is there another article? NY has a helmet law, and that's a pretty easy one for them to enforce. I can't recall anyone riding without one over the years I lived out there...they wouldn't make it far with the police presence out there.

    How much you wanna bet

We can guess all we want, but we'll never know the cause. I've never been perfect behind the wheel, and without knowing circumstance it's a bit presumptuous to assume recklessness. Stuff happens, and people make mistakes, even when driving responsibly. Judging by the damage to the van and...

    Digital display affected by heat

Interesting about the display lines. Has anyone ever killed one?

Which are best brake pads for the RT

Where's your site Ron? I've tried Googling it without success.

How long should front and rear brakes last

Do these pads have wear indicators on them? Seeing the price of replacement rotors makes me not want to find out the hard way.

    WTF?

Oh MAN...sorry to hear about that. You must have quite a lip into your driveway. We just got our first Spyder two weeks ago, and I made note of the low ground clearance rather quickly. I can see a curb screwing up my day if I forgot about the low hanging nose.

This is the first I've heard of it! :)

    Harley 2 front wheel trike

Very interesting...I like the concept, but I don't think I'd ever own one in its current form. The Harley platform they're using is a dinosaur, and without the nannies I don't think I'd be comfortable owning one. I've owned two-wheel motorcycles for years, and one of the big reasons we got the...
