• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2013 RT-S and Corbin seat

    I love my Corbin saddle on a 2012 RT-S.

County Tax Department ? Can Am

I bought my 2012 RT-S SE5 on 7/3/12 and made the dreaded trip to the BMV just under 45 days later. Indiana excise tax got $425. Then there were the registration and plate fees. All of that repeats every year here although over time the excise tax goes down. Almost $500 for that pleasure.

    RT turn signal

I think I will suggest to BRP that they contact Honda. I never had trouble with those and just tapping the switch in cancelled it every time, not like the light show I give people trying to turn mine off.

    Downshifting with SE5

I downshift manually all the time. Sometimes the bike beats me to first gear but I usually precede it. I agree with Rattigan_Roger. Saves on brake wear.

    Newbie question

RAR - you will be surprised how comfortable you are with taking curves at speed once you get used to your Spyder and get some miles under your wheels. That's great that you took the MSF course. Although I have been riding since high school (I'm 59 now) I took the beginner's course several...

    Cramps in legs

I think it's the seat and foot peg combination, plus goofed up body chemistry as has been posted here. I got a Corbin saddle and that improved things a lot. Not saying you should do that. Might not have anything to do with your situation but I had to have a stiffer and better shaped seat. I...

    cup holder

Very nice. Creative idea and looks great, plus it's functional which I guess is the important thing.

    Pain in the

I agree with fastfraser. If you can, find someone who has a backrest and see if the reduced passenger space is okay for you. I really like my Corbin backrest, which is quite adjustable, but my passenger prefers not have it installed as it restricts her space. Fortunately it's easy and quick...

    Seating. Choosing Corbin or Ultimate

I put a Corbin saddle and matching backrest on my RT and really like it. Went riding several hundred miles this weekend and that stiffer seat is so much better than the softer stock one. But I think they only come in black. Still, it has spider web stitching that really sets it off.

    RT Vibration continues

I have a barely perceptible vibration that occurs at several RPM ranges regardless of the gear I am in. Compared to a Harley this is nothing (vibration wise) and really not a concern to me. I'm interested in following this thread though because so many people do have serious issues with this...

Is there a special wave for Can-Am riders??

Sequimike you cracked my up with the bit about Harley riders and unicycles. That was a funny story. I get less waves here in southern Indiana on my RT than I did on my Honda VTX V-twin but I kind of expect it is because they don't see me as a bike when we are headed toward each other...

    New RT Owner

I'm in about the same place that budsspuds is. 900 miles on my new RT and through the initial service. I think I will have the dealer do all my service related work. Not much into that anymore. I too drive a truck, or used to before the RT. The only time I drive my truck now is in bad...

Anonymous Donates so Original Grip Buddies Can Become a Sponsor

I ordered my Original Grip Buddies recently and I could swear I had them in 2 days. I know that's not the case but they sure got to me quicker than I expected. I have sold a lot of items on eBay and always use priority USPS shipping and send the same day as I receive payment. I receive many...
