• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Problem Free time with the RT is over!

I have a ‘22 RTL. The bike started giving VSS warnings on a recent trip on start up. Took the battery to Batteries Plus to test. Came back bad. Replaced. Problem solved.

Any way to modify an RTL to mimic the off-road features of the new Canyon?

There are still many dirt roads/passes in Colorado that are nicely graded and travelled regularly by cars. I don't have any desire to ride on rough, ditched, or rocky 4WD roads. I get that. Protection of the under carriage and belt would probably be sufficient in my opinion to allow the RTL...

Any way to modify an RTL to mimic the off-road features of the new Canyon?

We love to go out on the dirt roads in the high country of Colorado. Some of the mountain passes are accessible, some are not. Don't really want to trade in the RTL for a Canyon, but was wondering if anyone out there has done any mods to allow safer travel on the dirt. Belt guard is the only...

Anyone mounted a Rearview Camera on RT Ltd? What type?

We added the Garmin BC40 camera to our '22 RTL, after almost getting hit while backing out of a crowded parking space. It works great and integrates with the Zumo Xt, but we found that it goes through those AA batteries really fast. Even the lithium. Haven't used or even replaced the...

Can Am paint shows marks - any advice on removing them?

Here's what we did on our '22. WrapMySpyder has covers for pretty much every surface. Ours has held up well in every type of weather both sitting in the sun for hours and in the garage. The shiny black surfaces were showing scratches from day one. This solved that issue and looks great!

Your Weather News @ June 2024

Supposed to hit 90 today in Colorado. If anyone is planning a pikes peak trip this summer, just a warning to be prepared for anything. Pic was from last summer.

Front end vibration w/new Vredestein tires ... Follow up

I had new Vredesteins mounted a couple weeks ago and wrote in a thread about a pretty severe vibration in the handlebars when doing 60+ mph. The 3 tires were mounted, balanced, and an alignment done during the annual service performed, as well as an oil change. This was done at my regular...

Who would have thought that Grip Puppies could make such a difference!

I’ve put them on all my bikes over the years. My only complaint with the spyders is when using the heated grips they stifle the temperature quite a bit. Other than that they’re great.

New Altimax RT45 225/60R-15 rubbing on belt on left turns

I checked mine. I have an Altimax 215 and about 1/2-3/4” gap between the tire and belt.

Are Vredestein Tires Directional? Does Ride-On come in 'bottles per tire'?

They said the balancer was working when the tires were mounted.

Are Vredestein Tires Directional? Does Ride-On come in 'bottles per tire'?

I took the bike into the dealer yesterday. The tech rode it and gave me the run around about not knowing much about my particular bike and how it rode but did not feel any appreciable vibration in the handlebars. Anyway, I disputed this conclusion and they will re-balance the tires as soon as...

Are Vredestein Tires Directional? Does Ride-On come in 'bottles per tire'?

I did have some minor vibration prior to changing tires, but it's definitely worse with the new tires. The vibration is such that when I put the cruise control on and remove my hands from the handlebars, the bars shake like crazy. The bike still tracks OK and at lower speeds it's fine. I'm...

Are Vredestein Tires Directional? Does Ride-On come in 'bottles per tire'?

I've never heard of "ride-on" but maybe this would solve my vibration issue. I just had Vredestein's installed in front and Altimax 45 in the rear. The service tech swears he balanced and aligned the fronts, but I have a noticeable vibration starting at 55 and getting worse up to 70mph. Would...
