• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What's the HMF slip-on part number for 2014 Spyder RSS-SE5?

I must admit I'm confused. I did the search about exhaust options for the Spyder and HMF came up quite often as the best bang for the buck. When I went to various sites I came up with several different part numbers, so I posted the question here. Here's what I don't understand, 140 views and no...

What's the HMF slip-on part number for 2014 Spyder RSS-SE5?

From what I see, it's not clear if ST parts fit RSS? Evidently there was some changes from years '12 and before and '13 and '14. Still don't understand why I can't pull up the HMF site(s).

What's the HMF slip-on part number for 2014 Spyder RSS-SE5?

For some reason I can't pull up any of the hmf sites. Does anyone have the part number for the above bike? Amazon and ebay are not clear on years and models. Thanks for any help.

    Sad day.

Keep in mind it will almost certainly have a salvage/reconstruction title even with new frame.

2014 RSS-SE5 Save me from myself-- check engine light

To add to the situation, ohm resistance on the rear (lean cylinder) plug wire is >3,700. The front wire (rich cylinder) is >6700. It's above my pay grade as to whether this is reasonable based on length of wire or some other factor. As to the Seafoam, I was trying to ride a few miles after I had...

2014 RSS-SE5 Save me from myself-- check engine light

Today I pulled the plugs, the front one is about much fun as I could stand. The rear cylinder is running very lean, the front is running very rich. I ordered plugs and wires from Bajaron, but will be surprised if that's the issue. But I really don't want to button this thing up w/o doing while...

2014 RSS-SE5 Save me from myself-- check engine light

The saga continues! I took the Spyder to the dealer and they cleared the check engine light. They told me that to take it out and ride about 20 miles or so for the computer to reset. At about 3 miles the Spyder had reached operating temp. it started to do the occasional pop through exhaust...

2014 RSS-SE5 Save me from myself-- check engine light

I forgot to mention I also replaced the two vacuum lines first thing when it would not idle smoothly. There wasn't any cracks, but figured it's easy enough to do. It's my understanding that once you repair what caused the code the code disappears from the screen, this has happened. Can I make...

2014 RSS-SE5 Save me from myself-- check engine light

A little history, several days ago I bought the 2014 with a little over 3K miles. It would not idle correctly and had the power of a moped. In a previous post you riders were kind enough to give suggestions. Initially there were no codes or a check engine light. As recommended I did the...

2014 Spyder RS-SE5 idle and running issue

Snowbelt Spyder, appreciate stepping me through the the steps to pull up the code. Results were P0131. According to what I could find my issue is possibly the O2 sensor or a connection problem with the ECM. I assume replacing the O2 sensor is easier to deal with. Again, thanks for the help and...

2014 Spyder RS-SE5 idle and running issue

No I haven't, I have a tech manual on the way. Does the dealer have to pull up the codes?

2014 Spyder RS-SE5 idle and running issue

Wanted to get back to you riders after doing the following: checked air cleaner and snorkel all was good, replaced the two vacuum lines with the NAPA high temp. silicon tubing, disconnected the canister per the forum procedure--do I need to disconnect electrical plug on top or does it matter...

2014 Spyder RS-SE5 idle and running issue

Upfront I apologize for my first post to be question, but will get to introduction post ASAP. Now to my problem; I just purchased the Spyder and it has not been ridden alot. Being a 2014 with only 3500 miles is part of my problem I think. Being an older rider and having owned dozens of bikes I...
