• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone still making 998 cat deletes?

Thanks for the help guys. I got ahold of Ricky Sutton through email and he is putting me on his list. Hopefully that will help with the heat I hear about. Just need to get one before next summer. It’s finally cooling down here in Arizona so it’s no big deal in the winter.

    Bearing Pieces in oil

I understand that. But I'm using this thread as a reference while re-assembling my engine. I just want to point out to anyone that ends up doing the same will at least double check that note.

    Bearing Pieces in oil

In this post he mistakenly states that there is a bolt hole that will accept the crankshaft locking pin and lock the crank. It is actually on the clutch side of the engine. At least that's where it is on my 2012 RTS.

Cam Chain adjusters not pumping up for assembly - how do you make them work??.

I just installed the new chains and tensioners. The manual says to lock the crank at TDC for rear cylinder and align all indicated timing marks and install chains and tensioner. I did that. Then it specifically states that on the clutch side turn the crank 300 CCW, and it shows a arrow...

Cam Chain adjusters not pumping up for assembly - how do you make them work??.

According to the manual you set the timing up on the rear cylinder first, which I did. Then turn the crank 300 CCW then install the crank locking pin, which I’ve done. Then set up the front cylinder. The trouble comes when I try and turn the crank over to verify everything is ok. So I turn it...

Cam Chain adjusters not pumping up for assembly - how do you make them work??.

I am assembling my engine and have installed the chains and tensioners. With timing set correctly. When turning the crank by hand the tensioners back off and the chains slip. So it jumps time. I ordered new chains and tensioners and the new tensioners are soft just like the originals. I’m not...

2012 RT 998 Water Pump Gear install - How is it driven?

No. A washer goes on top of that gear, then the other gear is above it

2012 RT 998 Water Pump Gear install - How is it driven?

It can’t be up higher. It needs to mesh as it does with the intermediate gear. Then there is a keyed gear that goes on top of it that meshes with the crank gear

2012 RT 998 Water Pump Gear install - How is it driven?

I am reassembling my motor and the water pump gear and intermediate gear don't seem to be driven by the balance shaft that the driven gear is on. can't figure out how it works. As far as the schematics go it appears I am assembling them correct. the weird part is that the water pump gear has a...

How to remove the Shift Clutch assembly RT 2011

I think if it were a wrist pin circlip it would have seized the engine as it has no way out other than between the piston and cylinder wall, which doesn’t afford the space to drop that clip without mangling it.
