• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Gas Mileage

Wow. I got so much better with my Harley Softail! You would think it would be better mileage than that.. Well, I got 156 miles on the bike from the last fill up when I filled up this afternoon.. I got 26.31 mpg. Do you think it is because you run it at such high rpms compared to the...

    Gas Mileage

How many miles should I be able to go before filling up? (miles I should be able to get on a tank of gas) AND What kind of gas mileage is everyone getting? I just got my Spyder RTS SE5 a week ago today and it doesn't seem to get really good gas mileage. It is new 2012. I now have 514 miles on...

Thanks everyone! This helps me a lot for suer.. I will check out Grasshopper in Beloit, too about the seat. And Arther.. glad you got all of your modifications done and you are finally comfortable. Problem with the Spyder I want, they don't have risers for the RT models, only RS... but...

Short Stuff, making mods for height

I too have a problem. I am looking to buy an RTS SE5. I am under 5'4" feet, but I have short arms so it is quite a strain on my neck, shoulders, back and arms. I have taken 2 test drives and will go back for a third one so I can see how I feel after riding a couple hours and on different...

    Risers

I am checking into seats. KonTour said they can do one, but for the RT it would be $1,500. And no guarantee it could get me in the position I really need to be in to be comfortable. Also something about the RT Spyder being the most difficult seat they work on. Still waiting on some others to...

MPH and RPMs for shifting into gears

I will tell Doug hello - haven't met him as I have been working with Brandon.. Will go back for 3rd test drive though. KonTours said they could do something for a custom seat, but it would be $1,500 for the RTS and no guarantee that it would put me where I need to be. Also said that this model...

    Risers

So really, no risers (pull back risers) for the RTS SE5?? I can't reach comfortably to the handlebars without straining neck, shoulders, back and arms. My arms are too short to be comfortable. I want to buy one, but can't see it if I can't be comfortable. Do you know if they are coming out...

    Risers or new seat

Thanks Risers or new seat Thank you both for the info. I hope that either Corbin or Russell Day-Long can help. Really hope that if they think they can do it, it would be forward enough for the reach without risers, too. I have a Harley Heritage Classic and had to get pull-back risers and a...

MPH and RPMs for shifting into gears

Thanks MPH and RPMs That helps me out a lot! I appreciate it. I haven't bought one yet but looking at the blue RTS SE5. The biggest problem is reaching the handlebars comfortably. I am female with shorter arms and legs. No risers for the RTs I hear so I thought maybe a custom seat would...

MPH and RPMs for shifting into gears

I am new to the the semi-auto shifting on the RTS SE5. They say to shift to 2nd at 22 to 28 mph. What are the MPH to shift into 3rd and the mph range I can be in, in 3rd gear.. Then what mph can I shift into 4th gear and the mph I can stay into 4th before shifting to 5th. I am not good at...

    Risers or new seat

I have been looking at purchasing a Spyder RTS SE5. I am under the understanding that NO ONE makes risers for their handlebars. I need the handlebars to be closer to me. I have short arms and the reach is very uncomfortable. I am female and am short in arms and leg area. It really bothers my...
