• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HowTo: DIY Laser Align with DIY Tool

Sorry for the delayed response. Yes as Peter mentioned, I've been off line for a while, but I'll try to answer your questions now. Did you find that the lug nuts were even all the way around?? Yes, based on that the distance the sheet metal had all the way around the wheel was consistent...

    Dynojet help please!

I was wondering what happened to the O2 Optimizer; makes sense. Thank you for the additional info. Unfortunately, my Spyder is my daily driver so don't have the opportunity to pull out the ECU for flashing. Luckily my main focus is in the open loop area of the map to take advantage of my...

    Dynojet help please!

This thread is a few years old but recently purchased/installed the PCV though having trouble finding the o2 optimizer. Seems to be running fine, but this thread seems to suggest the PCV is worthless without the optimizer since the ECU is constantly trying to counteract the PCV settings. Maybe...

HowTo: DIY Laser Align with DIY Tool

Thanks OlJim for the idea about the magnets! But I decided to buy enough magnets (at Lowes) so I didn't need a spacer. Then just bought a 6" X 18" piece of sheet steal and cut it in half. I also found a magnetic laser level on Amazon for cheap and bought 2. I found that my tow in was way too...

How to Activate Cruise Control on Base RS

Well since I started contributing to this thread, the RH Housing Switch part number 710003574 went from $440 to now $540. I think BRP caught on. Consequently, I'm providing an option. Hopefully more people will discover they already have cruise control with a little effort. So here's the old...

How to Activate Cruise Control on Base RS

So I took the original cover and cut it down along the ridges on the back with a box knife. This is a pic of one side done. After all four sides were cut down, I added a plastic spacer on the screw to allow room for up and down rocking of the cover. Also, and very important, I beveled the...

How to Activate Cruise Control on Base RS

Reread the thread and it doesn't look like anyone found a switch cover solution other than ordering RH Housing Switch part number 710003574. Unfortunately, the price is up to $440 now so seems a bit much to get a plastic knob. My search on the Internet for a black knob meant for sliding has...

How to Activate Cruise Control on Base RS

Thanks Michaelscs, you definitely know your stuff. I noticed the 2014 upper side panels as well, so "hybrid" it is. I really like how those air scoops look so bonus for me. It's great that the engine loves the high RPM's. That's why I call her the Screamin' Demon. The 998cc's really move...

How to Activate Cruise Control on Base RS

Per the VIN lookup, it shows as an ST-S but like I said, I'm happy either way.

How to Activate Cruise Control on Base RS

Thank you for the replies Possible and Michaelscs. When I was doing my research, I had some confusion as well based on the wheels, frame color, and muffler shield covers. I expected to see the carbon black treatment on those items per this article...

How to Activate Cruise Control on Base RS

Cruise for everyone!! Just got a used 2013 Can-Am Spyder ST-S SM5 and really love it; consequently joined the forum. I thought it had cruise because the pictures shows the instrument panel as Cruise OFF; but evidently, it's optional on the SM5 vs the SE5. Anyway, really glad I found this...
