• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for new Comms - what do you use?

Schuberth C4 Pro, size large. This model is an intermediate oval which fits my head, other models are different. Wore Arai for years and always a medium but the medium Schuberth (at least this model) was way too tight and I could not get it on, so I returned and upped one size. It is snug...

Looking for new Comms - what do you use?

I started with a Sena 20S system and it worked well and was relatively easy to move from helmet to helmet. I have now replaced that with Schuberth helmet and its SC1 Advanced system (made by Sena, I believe). It works great.

Buying our first Spyder in the Spring - what should I be looking for?

I'd recommend test riding them, then decide which feels and works best. I am prepping for my third 2-3 week trip on my Ryker Rally this spring and am very happy with it. Starting last years trip:

Any Saddlebag Liner Recommendations for the Ryker Spyder Extras Bags?

Ya, the Zipps are expensive compared to Amazon and have been out of stock for a while. I've had mine for years and they seem pretty durable. So, you were not happy with the Amazon 2-pack ones?

What portable air compressor/jump starter do you use when touring?

I carry a Scosche PowerUp 600 and an Airmoto air pump. Have not needed either, knock on wood.

Any Saddlebag Liner Recommendations for the Ryker Spyder Extras Bags?

I haven't. I currently use Aerostich Zipp Bags (small) on the right side, stacking on top of each other and a fabric tote (received when donating to the USO) on the left. Both leave unused space.

No more motorcycle magazines for me...

Yep, times change. Sure miss the MCN though. I still get a few prints: Road Runner Blue Ridge Motorcycling Rider AMA

What has been your experience with Tire Plug Kits?

I haven't plugged/patched a motorcycle but have used the Slime rope plugs on other vehicles. Over the years plugged two SUV tires with them and drove on the tires until they wore out. Never an issue.

Can Am offers rider courses. Some to assist with getting a license and others just learn about riding a Can Am. Check for one in your area. https://can-am.brp.com/on-road/us/en/learn-to-ride.html
