• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

From "Analog" to "Digital" at no cost to you.

Depends on the year. The 998 engines use a PMG which requires about 4k rpms to charge the battery which is why a lot of owners have had battery issues. The 2-fixes were use a battery tender daily and keep your rpms up! As I understand it, the new 1330 engines have reworked this flaw and...

Road Warrior F3 raffle - The rest of the story

The Issue Has Become Blurred Let me start by saying this is My Opinion and mine alone and IS NOT an attack on the integrity of any other person. Having read this Thread over and over one thing is clear to me, the issue of participation has given way to the argument of fairness. The one has...

Road Warrior F3 raffle - The rest of the story

Service Defined Lamont....please know that just because you "did not serve" does not mean you "never served". As we Veterans serve every American every day of our duty, you thru your own personal actions "Serve Veterans". To that end....THIS VETERAN SAYS, "THANK-YOU SIR". And may God watch...

    Winner of Road Warrior F3

Confused About F3 Raffle & Road Warrior Foundation As one of the many Vets on this site, I for one understand why Copperman, a fellow Vet, asked the question...even if it was abrasively worded. But someone please explain to all of us as to how does anyone wing the F3 help the Road Warrior...

    CB Radio Issues

I wonder if it has anything to do with all the issues they had, and continue to have, with their "CB" and the fact it appeared not only did BRP engineers not understand how important this item was for touring riders on a "touring bike", but failed to properly train their techs in understanding...

    Installing bearings

The problem with that is you do not want the outer race to "spin" which then defeats the purpose of the bearing itself - not to mention the damage a spinning race can do to the hub. Some press to fit installations require placing a low adhesive contact glue around the exterior of the outer...

    Installing bearings

Looks like you are trying to replace the Rear Hub Bearing (?). If so and from what I can tell, this appears to be what is known as a "sealed bearing" meaning it does not require grease like a typical axle wheel bearing would. If so, I would do as Lamont recommended and put it in your freezer...

    Installing bearings

It really depends on what kind of bearing you are addressing and its application. Need some more info.... What Spyder manual and area are you referring to? That said: Installing a bearing or race is usually best if done by using a bench-press because it applies equal pressure all around the...

    VETERANS, WHAT IS YOUR OPINION

True.....but like a politician, he only did so AFTER being caught and called out by fellow Vets. How many of us would still have a job if our employer knew we were blatantly telling lies to promote ourselves? How many of us would be hired if our potential employer knew we lied on out resume'?

    VETERANS, WHAT IS YOUR OPINION

Its not really "Stolen Valor" because he did not receive a benefit specifically targeted for military personnel and/or Vets. As a Retired Vet I do understand where you are coming from. And "Stolen Valor" is a law making doing so illegal. It is however an outright lie by a person placed in...

    Narrowing down CCW choices.

Lots of good advice! Remember WHY you are buying it and WHAT you intend on using it for and against WHO. That said, here is my 2-cents, NEVER compromise on "knock down potential" for feel or size. A large attacker on drugs requires a greater knock down amount of energy vs a small framed...

    CB Radio Additional Grounding

    CB Radio Additional Grounding

:opps: Actually the CB module doesn't take up any space inside the saddle bag area. If memory serves, its located above the right saddle bag next to the radio module.

I got 2 problems. Please help!!!!!!

It is probably impossible to get a new key matched to your bike given it takes a dealer to do that. Fixing the brake fluid issue isn't helpful if you can't get the bike started. Go back to the importer and see if you can get your money back because this bike is VERY complex and requires a...

    CB Radio Additional Grounding

Worse OEM Motorcycle CB - EVER For the cost of installing this "option" on , we owners would think that BRP would have conducted extensive dynamic testing to ensure it works as THEY advertised it would! I have a 2010 and the CB has never worked as BRP advertised. :gaah: :banghead:
