• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

New ISCI hand brake on GS Spyder not working properly. Any ideas?

As Peter suggested, it might be worth searching a bit for threads with similar difficulty ... especially for member Kawakii (I think). She is a paraplegic and has had the ISCI unit on all of her Spyders (two GS's and now an F3). In the early kits (like for the GS), SOME units had some "flex"...

Spyderlovers - Facebook - Or Both?

I use both regularly ... I help Joan and Lamont admin all the "lovers" groups on FB (there are several), so I am over there a lot. I much prefer the search capability of the forum ... and that I get to pick and choose what to look at. Don't really care for the FB algorithm that decide what I...

Where can I buy 2013 Spyder Limited body plastic?

If it's a 2013 RT Ltd, the frame was changed to accomodate the 1330 engine ... but the engine was not ready and they used the 998 engine in the new frame. Thus, 2014 through 2019 plastics should fit ... I would look at http://CanAmOEMparts.com Good luck in your search .... Ann

AC joint separation - have you ridden the Spyder with one?

I have tears in both shoulders, neither is torn bad enough to warrant surgery -- two different surgeons have told me they would do more damage fixing than I did tearing. So, PT is was for me as well. I have had to adapt my spyder riding technique in order to remain pain free, even on long...

Rear ended on the way to OC bike fest

As an accident survivor, myself, I can tell you this shakes you to your core. I was hit head on while riding two wheels (custom built BMW K75LT) in 1993. By the Grace of God and good gear (ATGATT girl here), I walked away with only bruises and one very angry sciatic nerve. I remember making...

Which Tire Size for the fronts? What size are you running?

Mike ... one of the benefits of shopping local, at my independent tire shop; they know it's going on a Spyder and they will still order me a single. It may cost me a few $ more, but they can mount and balance the fronts and my local dealer will do the rear (one of the few in this area that...

Who's signed up for Spyders in the Ozarks - 2023?

Been registered since the first week. I missed last year due to hubby's back surgery (he is now fused from T5 all the way to the pelvis -- 13 vertebrae in all). He was less than one month out of the hospital and, while mobile, still struggling with many tasks of daily living. He is now one...

    what have you survived.

Hmmm .... not as extensive as some of yours (just a few highlights): - 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake in California, a 7.1 that lasted only 15 seconds. Lived in Hollister at the time, only quake I didn't hear first. - 1993 head-on collision on two wheels in Texas. Custom build BMW K75 LT was...

Yuasa OE Spec Batteries out of stock - What's my best alternative?

The OEM Yuasa is out of stock; but the alternative from Drag Specialties is listed and can add to cart (just bought one the other day from Lamonster). From what I gather, Drag Specialties is made by Yuasa.... so, essentially the same battery. All the Best ...... Ann

Advice Please - Want to get back to riding.

I have both a 2016 RT Ltd and a 2018 F3 Ltd ... they are different rides to be sure. Sit a bit higher on the RT, sort of sit "ON" it. The F3 has a lower seating position, more like sitting "IN" it. I like both rides .. more comfortable on the RT but that's purely because I have more miles on...

Need Help ordering from Spyder Store - what am I missing here?

Since I just ordered today, the sequence on the payment page is fresh in my mind for Lamonster Garage (if that is what you mean by Spyder Store). The payments page in my browser goes like this (each of these are INDIVIDUAL fields): Card Number (you have to type it in). Expiration MONTH (pull...

Batteries are Good ... Until They're Not

My husband has always used the title phrase. WELLLL ... I got bit by just that very phrase this morning. Did my normal pre-ride checks (tires, turn signals, brake lights, belt, a walk around, etc.) with the F3 still on the tender. Then unplugged about 30 minutes before we were to take off...

Glove box lid removal - is it easy to do? Any tips on how?

It's been a while ... but I remember taking the glove box lid off my F3 Ltd in order to route a phone cord (needed to cut a couple of strategically placed notches). As I recall, I did so by removing the windshield first as this gives you room to "fully rotate" the lid and reveal that the "side...

Simplifying Wiring for Laam Custom F3 Driver Heated Seat?

Yes ... thank you! I believe this means, as long as I maintain the 3 amp fuse in the seat harness, I am safe in wiring the heated seat to this plug. Do you agree? All the best ....... Ann

Simplifying Wiring for Laam Custom F3 Driver Heated Seat?

Thank you for the response .... yes, I need to update my signature as I have BOTH an RT and F3. That customer accessory circuit is already in use for several pieces of additional lighting (fogs and turn signals, for example). I suppose it is an option, but it is only on when the engine is...
