• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Have you had an ECU Flash? How long did it take? Any good?

Ethonal content doesn't matter. (E10 or not) The system uses oxygen sensors and will change fuel tuning for each fuel. You can use each. Only concern is that I would definitely get rid of the ethanol fuel for winter storage. Or at least treat it with seafoam. However, octane is important. I...

Have you had an ECU Flash? How long did it take? Any good?

Automotive and small engines are not very similar in most aspects than being fuel injected engines. And what was your concerns? What engine timing modifications are you exactly concerned about? As for your small hole theory.... with "Questionable airflow". 2x 38.1mm holes are 100% the area...

Have you had an ECU Flash? How long did it take? Any good?

For the record, Stage 2 is not just random holes in an airbox. It is complete different ecu mapping. The difference in fuel is important but partial. The colder air intake temps along with running the fan lower allow programming different air temp torque limiters along with engine temp torque...

Have you had an ECU Flash? How long did it take? Any good?

2 things you overlook. Or not quite grasping. 1: This isn't an enclosed engine compartment. But doesn't even matter. A 1330cc engine at a volumetric efficiency of 100% moves 1.33L of air for every cycle. At say 6000rpm, this is 3000 times per minute or 50 times per second. 50 x 1.33 litres...

O M G - Monster Fuel Inj Rocks! Flashed ECU!

    - Both the factory mapping and reprogrammed mapping require 91+..... But you can use 87 in a pinch. First - understand that damaging detonation happens at high loads. (high throttle openings) If you ever need to use 87 octane, simply stay at light loads. (below 50% throttle grip) and don't lug...

O M G - Monster Fuel Inj Rocks! Flashed ECU!

The spyder setup has knock sensors for knock control. (as any automobile) These feedback an AC signal to ecu to interpret levels of knock. Increasing the rev limit lets your engine rev higher. (the engine still makes great power and pulls to 8600 before any significant power drop above this)...

    Popping & misfiring normal?

That actually says that it is more of a leak. Right from day 1. Either at the head or a joint . Both places are up from where you put the exhaust on.

O M G - Monster Fuel Inj Rocks! Flashed ECU!

Don't get much time to come on here. very busy. For those interested, Rotax engine are extremely well built and bullet proof. Your not going to blow it up by retrieving the power its spec'd at. In stock form, they are quite detuned and under rated from the spec sheets. Since 2007 we have...

    Popping & misfiring normal?

It is not normal. Backfiring in exhaust is 95% of the time an exhaust leak. In which fish air is pulled in under vacuum. The other 5% of the time is tuning. A loud pop is lean at closed throttle position. Several small pops are rich from left over fuel and would be rich at the throttle position...

Best method to ship ECU to Monster Fuel in Canada

Border is no issue at all. Either shipping method. Stuff comes back and forth no problem. The only reason its mentioned is because "our Canadian" government likes to charge 13% tax on anything coming across border. So by specifying "ecu repair" and $1 value, that tax charge is rightfully...

    Monster Fuel Injection flash

1- No mention of intake change anywhere. Its only exhaust. 1A - In easiest explanation. The Canam Spyder setup uses a closed loop oxygen sensor system. If changing exhaust changes engine efficiency and its mixture, the ecu sets correction % so its back to stoich. The same multiplier is then...

    Monster Fuel Injection flash

To clarify, Power is increased at ALL throttle positions off 0%. Under 60% throttle, fuel mileage is the same. Fuel and timing mapping is the same. Ecu uses o2 sensors. (If more power is made at xx throttle - user uses a lower throttle opening to maintain same speed. Therefore we can make...

Best method to ship ECU to Monster Fuel in Canada

Method doesn't matter. USPS has cheapest options with longest times FedEx and UPS have next day options but at a cost. And they also have a ground option that can be anywhere from 2 days to 5 days. With all, you can go online to website and estimate cost and time. Or they can tell you at...

    Monster Fuel Injection flash

I have made it easy. And just updated flash form to reflect this. Stage 1 flash. (current only released option) User choice of stock 8100rpm limiter or 8600 rpm 91+ octane fuel or 100+ octane fuel. Mapping works for all combinations of complete stock exhaust, cat delete / bypass and / or...
