• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Brake Failure warning message

It's not a leak. I removed the body and checked very carefully. I'm not sure how fluid can be bad. Do you mean contaminated? I have had a problem with air in the lines on 2 occasions but there is no missing fluid and no oil any where on the bike. After inspecting the bike from one end to the...

    Do you have power steering?

Both my father and I own a Spyder. My power steering has always worked correctly. His has never been right but it can only really be noticed while turning at speed or by the lack of dampening at high speed. I've mentioned this to him in the past. He even took it back to the dealer to be checked...

    New Key Problem

If I'm not mistaken, the service manual mentions no adapter when enabling keys. I'll look again tonight but I believe all you need is the bike and the keys but I may be wrong. I'm guessing that you don't actually program the key but rather allow the bike to accept the new key.

    BRP Hand Brake?

"If a motorcycle is equipped with self-proportioning or antilock braking devices utilizing a single control for front and rear brakes, the control shall be located and operable in the same manner as a rear brake control" Honda Goldwings have had ABS and 2 brake controls for at least several years.

    Exhaust gasket - vertical.....

I've been reading about these gaskets blowing for some time now. When our Spyder began to get louder, we took it in for what I assumed was a blown gasket in the vertical pipe right hand side. I just got off the phone with the dealer and he says they are replacing a cracked exhaust pipe. Has...

    eBay Headlights

It's odd that Star Rotors doesn't have any negative feedback regarding these, in fact I find about half a dozen positive feedbacks in as many pages. BUT what I failed to realize when I started writing this post was that the positive feedbacks are for these. I was ready to order a set of HIDs...

    Blacked out Spyder in Foley

Sorry we didn't wave. We never would've known you were there if you hadn't beeped. If you're going to be in the area again, let's go for ride.

    Rev Limiter

I was being facetious.... about being told. The rev limiter is set to 10K. I've hit it while spinning the rear wheel and I just over revved it once. When over revved the Spyder will blubber exactly like it does when the VSS kicks in. I can't be the only to over rev the motor or upset the nanny?
