• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I feel like my 2012 RT is now obsolete

I did that today! nojoke I rode my Model-T, I mean 2008 GS to work in sub-freezing temps this morning. If the 14s are putting all previous Spyders out to pasture, then I'm going to be out in that pasture having a great time! My hardest decision is which of my totally out-dated Spyders I'm...

    Earplugs

Eliminating the wind noise (a.k.a. white noise) makes it easier to hear the important stuff around, like cars, sirens, etc. Granted, listening to music pretty much negates that, so you have to be extra vigilant. I never listen to music when I'm just riding around town.

Help with fuel filter Oetiker clamp size/part number

You don't have to buy a whole set of these. All auto parts stores sell them by size. I believe I got a package of 4 for under $3 at Auto Zone.

Computer question since I have no grandchildren...

:agree: Macs are very sweet. I regularly use a Mac, a I-Pad, a Windows 7 PC and a IBM mainframe...talking about getting confused sometimes!!!

Computer question since I have no grandchildren...

Not necessarily. There are ways they get around your added defenses to hack the actual operating system. Once they control the unsupported operating system...game over.

Computer question since I have no grandchildren...

:agree: I work in the IT field as well. A XP re-install is not the only problem with this. Hackers are always finding ways to exploit XP systems. Microsoft has been chasing them for years and issuing fixes. MS will no longer being issuing these fixes unless you pay big bucks to continue XP...
