• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Love affair gone sour -or- Ramblings of an amateur writer WTMTOHH

It was love at first sight! She was smooth and lean, with striking looks that made men turn their heads when she passed by. She could purr like a kitten, or roar like a lion, and everyone enjoyed being around her. When I first laid eyes on her she was living in southern California - a fitting...

Olympic Peninsula LOOP 2- DAY EVENT in Sept ? Anyone interested?

Great Ride I, too, would like to express my thanks for a great weekend of riding! It was a real pleasure meeting all of you, and the two days of riding and visiting was one of the highlights of the summer for me. I hope we all have a chance to do it again one of these days. I have 2-3 hours...

Olympic Peninsula LOOP 2- DAY EVENT in Sept ? Anyone interested?

At the moment, it looks like we're shooting for "noon-ish" Saturday at the 101 Diner, with most spending the night at a Motel in Sequim or PA, and then counter-clockwise around the Peninsula on Sunday. On the return, you won't be anywhere near Port Townsend. As I see it, in the vicinity of...

Olympic Peninsula LOOP 2- DAY EVENT in Sept ? Anyone interested?

Arrival times That's great - the more, the merrier!! Depending on what time people get to Sequim, and what time we depart the area on Sunday, perhaps we can all do a little local riding in the meanwhile. This whole event is very informal, but if everyone would give me a rough idea of what...

Olympic Peninsula LOOP 2- DAY EVENT in Sept ? Anyone interested?

Unless I have my wires crossed (has happened before.....), it looks like we will be meeting for lunch in Sequim on Saturday, and then will take off Sunday, going counter-clockwise around the Peninsula. Departure time on Sunday out of Sequim has yet to be determined, as we don't know who will be...

Olympic Peninsula LOOP 2- DAY EVENT in Sept ? Anyone interested?

Sounds good. Take the 2nd Sequim exit (Sequim Ave), turn right and then make a left at the light. The 101 Diner is a few blocks down on the right. I'll look for you around noon, but if you're going to be really late, call my cell - 360-809-0322. I live just a couple of miles north of there...

Olympic Peninsula LOOP 2- DAY EVENT in Sept ? Anyone interested?

Lunch in Sequim sounds good. I'm not a fancy eater, so lunch at the 101 Diner works for me. If you prefer some place nicer, there's always Applebys and a few other places. Also, there are several motels in town, and most have vacancies this time of year. Just bear in mind that Sequim can be...

Olympic Peninsula LOOP 2- DAY EVENT in Sept ? Anyone interested?

Based on how things are looking right now, folks will probably be pulling out of Port Angeles by the time you left Silverdale on Sunday (unless you left REALLY early). You might consider heading straight for Aberdeen, and then up towards Forks, until you meet them coming from the other way, and...

Olympic Peninsula LOOP 2- DAY EVENT in Sept ? Anyone interested?

join up in sequim I could meet you (and anyone else) in Sequim for lunch, and then ride to Port Angeles. I'd backtrack to Sequim that afternoon, and then head back to PA in the morning and ride with everyone probably as far as Lake Crescent or so before turning around. All the way around the...

Olympic Peninsula LOOP 2- DAY EVENT in Sept ? Anyone interested?

peninsula ride I really don't want the lead on this, but we need to do some planning if we intend to ride next weekend. Here is a google map that shows the route - it's a little over 300 miles total, and a bit more than 6 hours riding - - http://tinyurl.com/9u8uevb I'm in Sequim, so that's...

    4th vs. 5th gear discussion

I bought mine new in 1978 (it's a '77 model) and still have it. I put it into storage in late '79 and there it stayed until 2005. By then the battery was long-gone and the front brake was frozen. It only has 11K miles on it, but sitting around for 25 years took its toll, so now it's a...

    4th vs. 5th gear discussion

Shifting Behavior I'm still new with the Can-Am but, based upon others' opinions, I try to keep the RPM's between 4,000 and 5,000. If I'm at a constant speed, and on a level or slightly downhill road, I will drop into 5th just above 50 and be ready to downshift if the need arrives. After...

Olympic Peninsula LOOP 2- DAY EVENT in Sept ? Anyone interested?

Peninsula Loop I guess someone is going to have to take the lead on this one. spyderman051 started the ball rolling, so he is the natural choice. When and where do we start, and when and where do we end? Are we going clockwise, or counter-clockwise around the Peninsula? Where to stop at...
