• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Recommend any luggage racks for pre 2020 RT's? What covers still fit?

Thanks JayBros, I like your approach and it would be easier if just me. Have been working with the wife on the less is more approach to packing. I also have to lug a CPAP with me. Pre COVID I traveled a lot for work and invested in a travel CPAP. It fits in the palm of my hand and saves on a...

New Gadget - Beeline Moto GPS (Pics attached - looks MADE for the Spyder)

Hi, I have had mine for over two seasons and have over 10,000 miles on it. I would recommend it for all the reasons you mentioned and more. While you do need the app, it is all GPS and does not use any data. You can build routes on the app or import GPX files. The battery on the unit lasts a...

Any thoughts on battery replacement? Change now or at failure?

Hi All, Any thoughts on proactive battery replacement? I have a well maintained 4.5 year old battery that has never given me an issue. Knowing average life expectancy and there is little warning when they go wondering if it just better to do it at start of season and wait for failure, jump it...

Still Riding? I think I am now done for the season...

I would love to ride year round but will need to leave Northern IL first. For now I will go out when I can when temp is over 40, until they salt the roads. Once that is done I need the temps over 40 following a decent rain to clear the salt. Really not looking forward to winter this year. Hoping...

    Headlight Replacement - First DIY

Hi All, I have a 2017 RT and I have a headlight that is out. After finding out how much it costs to have a headlight replaced I have finally gotten to the point with the service costs that I am going to start doing as much of my own maintenance as possible and figured this is a good place to...

    Lake Michigan Circle Info/Experience?

Thanks all for the great suggestions and advice. I am open to extending the trip to more than 4 days. I figured 4 days as I am seeing mileage estimates at apx 1100 miles, thinking 250 - 300 a day would allow time for sights and relaxing evenings. IdahoMtnSpyder, great suggestion, I think it...
