• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ultimate I've got the Tall Boy on my RT and my wife has the Midrider on hers. We both hated the OEM's and both love the Ultimate.

    Question re: ultimate seats

Never heard this before. Both the wife's bike and mine have the Ultimate seat with the fuel door and neither of us has ever felt any heat.

    Looking at an RT

Fog lights Just speaking for myself. We've had 3 RT's and all came with stock Fog Lights. And again speaking just for myself, but if the last 2 hadn't come stock on the bikes, I'd NEVER have added them after that first bike. They are a waste of money. You can't see them when they're on...

    Any aftermarket seat shock/struts??

Works great! Ordered 2 of these off your post. One each for mine and my wife RT's. They work great with the heavier Ultimate seats whether the back rest is on or off, up or down. And th 40 lbs force is no problem, even for my wife. In fact feels much more solid. Thanks for the info!

    Winter riding clothes

I stand corrected on them being a German company. Not sure where I'd heard they were but apparently I was wrong. Thanks. As far as quality. We've never had a problem with any of their stuff and the wife and I have been using it for nearly 20 years. Although like I said. We both just bought...

    shoulder problems

total left should replacement] I've had 4 shoulder surgeries. Rotor cuff and bicep tendon reattachment in right side. 3 surgeries plus finally total replacement on the left. That was March 2015. Left replaced (after owning the Spyder RT) and I was out doing short rides on it by 3 - 3 1/2 weeks...

    Winter riding clothes

The Harley heated gear and accessories are all made by Gerbing with the name Harley put on them. If you buy them from Gerbing (Gyde here in the US) direct next time you can save the mark up. Still not cheap but no mark up for adding the Harley name to it. added: a number of years ago (20+)...

    Winter riding clothes

Gerbing is a German company that still sells in Europe. Their products are now produced and sold in the US under Gyde located in North Carolina. Just had them specially make me several 4 ft long none coiled extensions to install the Gerbing "Panel Mounts" under the heated passenger grips on...

I made a joke about Al Gore and.........

An easy A class for the football team at Arizona St not a degree at UC Berkley It was actually Arizona St that was busted for that back in the 60's or 70's and it was their football players who were taking (scheduled in the class without ever showing up), for the CLASS and getting an easy A...

    ANTENNA

If and when you get a new (shorty) antenna DON'T use any locktite on it. Had to cut off my wife's antenna to get a socket onto it to get it out. Was locked in there tight!. (her bike has always had a reception problem) Cleaned out a crap load of blue locktite from the threads. Screwed in a...

    Do I need Bluetooth dongle

I have a BRP Bluebook Dongle set I'll sell It was on the 2014 RT that I bought and had it taken off when I had to have the bike inspected since we don't often wear helmets unless its inclement weather here. Anyone wants it. I'll sell it for $100 plus whatever USPS cost is for a one size fits...

Shorty Antenna compared to stock antenna ...

on the boot For any one doing this. One more thing. I opened the hole on the boot up a little with a couple of consecutively larger drills. It actually only opened maybe 50% larger because you're drilling thru rubber and I wasn't going to sit around freeze it first. Then coated both the...

Shorty Antenna compared to stock antenna ...

Walmart shortie antenna Just replaced the OEM on my wife bike's with a Walmart shortie with help from Copperman. Was going to start pulling plastic to get a wrench down in there (but contacted him first and he told me how he did the one on the RT I bought from him.) Thanks guy! How many...
