• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Relive Spders in the Hills Experience (kinda)

We had a great time riding the Hill Country Twistiies. Lot's of sunshine and lots of very small butterflies that gave their lives to our windshield and air intaIkes. We had to clean each several time on the ride Saturday. Unfortunately we witnessed the aftermath of a full dresser accident...

Relive Spders in the Hills Experience (kinda)

My wife and I participated in the last Spyders In The Hills event prior to the onset of Covid. We were discussing how much fun we had and how we enjoyed the experience the other night. We really wish that the rally could have found a way to continue. Anyway, we finally decided we could ride...

Oh that dreaded spark plug failure

a The charge was 3.1 hours = $283 . Would I pay that again? You bet ya !! I drove up on my cabbage truck, fell off, and watched the work as last plug was pulled. It was ding dong dead. "short life" for what is normally a "Long one" .

Oh that dreaded spark plug failure

I was troubled as well... but I can assure you one plug wasn't firing at all ... period. New BajaRon plugs and it is now running like a new ride.

Oh that dreaded spark plug failure

That was my deciding factor as well. I don't regret the decision at all. I'm a full time RV'er and don't have a place to complete that undertaking. :yikes:

Oh that dreaded spark plug failure

Took the Spyder out for a ride a few days back and "oh my gosh" !! The power was awful and it sounded as if something was terribly wrong. Turned around and headed back home with no change. Stopped and it felt as if there might have been a miss, but more like one cylinder wasn't firing at all...

    Finally bailing!!

Welcome to Texas.... Made our move here 11 years ago. Couldn't drag me out with a John Deere Tractor. Lots of fun things to do in Austin and all the small towns that are an easy ride for your Spyder Pleasure. :2thumbs::ohyea:

What a beautiful day for a ride

The sun was shinning bright this cool afternoon here in Texas Hill Country. I looked out at the Spyder and thought .. why should I let a day like today go to waste, surely it can't be that cold. So, I wrapped my upper torso in the appropriate layers to withstand the 40+ Temps while cruising at...

    Showing appreciation

Without the help of so many on this forum I would have never purchased a Spyder, never been able to maintain or upgrade, or ever experienced the most fun since my days of flying. Thank you all for all the questions that stimulate answers and all the answers that provide solutions. I know I'm...

    No riding

Early morning for one up. Covid, Heat, Closures, Sharan dust, ... all these are reducing the rides and surely interfere with the long trips we might like to enjoy. I'm spending a lot more time petting the Spyder than riding, but I sure do enjoy the wind when I do. Now that July is bringing...

    Touring with the Virus

I have cancelled a 3 week trip to Nags Head, NC in May. I'm not sure what the status will be then but as of right now as a non resident land owner I will not be allowed to enter the Outer Banks. They have restricted entry to residents only. Prudent move for a community with limited resources...

Installed my Lamonster Magic Mirrors yesterday. Now I know why all the folks in videos say "Love those Magic Mirrors" as they remove or replace them. :ohyea::yes:
