• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Adding Ride On to your tires - Good, Bad, Opinions?

I installed Ride-On motorcycle flavour yesterday in my RTL and went for a short ride today. Using their online calculator, I used 12oz in front and 16oz in the rear. I thought there may be some wobbling until it was spread around the inside of the tires but in the short ride I was able to get...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Oil and filter at an indie shop yesterday and I added Ride-On in the tires today.

How and where to use a jack on an RT when adding Ride-On sealant?

Hi, I'm planning to add Ride-On sealant to my Spyder's tires and am thinking it would be easier to do the filling if the tires weren't flat on the ground. So two questions... first, is that a correct guess to keep the tires from sitting flat for the filling, and the second is a two-parter...

Has Anyone Gone Back to 2 Wheels

Started riding 15 years ago at 56. Have had seven 2-wheel bikes interspersed with 3 Spyders in that time. The combination of being 70+ yo now and recently moving to a major urban centre got me onto my 3rd Spyder, an RTL, and there’s no going back. Safety, comfort, visibility, and because my...

New Gadget - Beeline Moto GPS (Pics attached - looks MADE for the Spyder)

First rides today with the Beeline nav device and I’m pleasantly surprised with it. As the vendor says, it’s meant to be unobtrusive while giving good indications of what your route is, and it checks all those boxes very nicely. The only real negative so far is not having street names on the...

New Gadget - Beeline Moto GPS (Pics attached - looks MADE for the Spyder)

Got it attached nice and high so it should be a good line of sight — but no road reports yet.

New Gadget - Beeline Moto GPS (Pics attached - looks MADE for the Spyder)

I just got mine and it looks great but haven’t been able to try it yet. And yes, the app looks pretty good too — I like Google maps so it should be a pretty easy transition. Two questions — where did you mount it and is it legible in most conditions? Thanks, Rod

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Thanks Peter -- I've got the antenna to twist off using a large pair of channel lock pliers. No heating was required. I didn't bother removing the piece that held the antenna, and will re-use the OEM boot with a cap glued into it to cover the hole in the tupperware. On to the next project...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Thanks Peter! This antenna has a square sort-of brass coloured square mount that is maybe 10-12 mm wide, so the 7mm socket or open-ended wrench solution didn't work for me. The lower 12 cm of the antenna has a plastic shroud right to the base (under the outer cover that I'd already removed)...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Finally installed the rear rack that I’d gotten in May on my 2017 RTL — in preparation for an upcoming 10-day 2-up ryde that might require summer, fall, and wet gear. The rack snags on the antenna (OEM, I think), so I’m trying to figure out how to remove it (I never use the radio). None of the...

New Gadget - Beeline Moto GPS (Pics attached - looks MADE for the Spyder)

Any updates on the Beeline nav? Hi and thanks for your reports on the Beeline. I’ve the OEM Garmin and a Quadlock for my iPhone on my Spyder but the simplicity of the Beeline looks interesting. Any further thoughts you might have on it are appreciated. Thanks, Rod

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Thanks for sharing this GFrog — I’m not liking where my iPhone’s Quadlock is sitting with the ball mount using the lower left bolt for the GPS mount, so I’ll give your idea a try.

My RTL has chrome handlebars that I want to wrap... Any advice?

Thanks but all I get are the file names -- no images.

My RTL has chrome handlebars that I want to wrap... Any advice?

I wish I did have the trip-axis bars but I don't think so -- although I've never seen one and the Can-Am website hasn't any decent photos. I see in your equipment list that you do. Do you have a photo you could share? Thanks!

My RTL has chrome handlebars that I want to wrap... Any advice?

Just a quick update. I've put on a 3M 1080 Matte Black Air-Release Vinyl Wrap Roll (1.1ft x 5ft) that I found on Amazon. It worked ok but there are a few wrinkles because of the handlebar's shape that I'll have to live with. As they used to say about some cars I've had, they're 20-20 -- good...
