• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Madstad Windshield..You Like it?

2010 RS with adjustable bars so sit upright like a ST/RT. 6'2" and 34" inseam. 24" madstad. Had the touring shield and buffeting (and ear drum popping) was so bad at 60+ I could not sustain speed. I tried the 22" madstad first but felt it could be better so swapped it for a 24". Note: I kept...

considering purchasing a GS. What issues / concerns should I be aware of?

Removing the plastic splash panels underneath seems to have helped some with the heat. Still feel it but more spread out and not targeted to my ankles.

    F3-T Questions

I'd say the most important thing is his expectations. A Spyder is not a motorcycle but it does offer a similar open air experience. Often long term motorcycle riders struggle with the differences and handling. If you understand it isn't a motorcycle going into the experience, most likely have...

    Biketoberfest

The best source of information I've found was on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Biketoberfest/ They are posting updates daily on conditions and event details. There are several hotels at the beach with damage but plenty that are operational. Unfortunately I have never stayed over there so...

    Considering buying

We ride 2 up on a 2010 RS SE5. Electronic shifting takes some getting used to and honestly it makes me lazy but I tend to just enjoy riding more. It was very uncomfortable until we replaced the seat with BRP Comfort. Several seat options but I went with the least expensive and we've been very...

    Question about a sway bar

They all come with a sway bar. The BahaRon bar is thicker and there are improved end links for some models. Sway bars = less sway or roll when cornering. Typically, aftermarket bars are thicker but often also include better/stiffer bushings such as urethane. There are some exceptions where...

    Helmets

As others might have said, it really comes down to fit, meaning head shape. I have a long, oval/narrow head so my options were limited. I went with an Arai signet q. Shoei gt-air or neotec were the others I considered but nothing fit me like the Arai. I will never go back to a cheap helmet...

    2013 RSS Passenger Backrest options .. ?

I believe the newer backrest replaced the older style and should be interchangeable. Newer is larger for more comfort and has the optional top box. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

Shopping for an RS or F3?

We like our RS after adding a comfort seat and madstad shield. I didn't care for the RT all that much but if we were travelling alot guess it would be more comfortable. Rode a F3t at bike week. It was comfortable and smooth. Wife didn't like the passenger seat position. Go to the Aimexpo...

    2009 GS seat fitment

The ST has an improved seat. Same shape with better foam or gel and upgraded/stitched cover. It is definitely more comfortable but not as nice as the comfort seat. The RSS might have the same. Can be tough to find these used. The ultimate, mustang, and others are a step or several above the...

    head buffering

I had the touring shield when I bought my spyder. Buffeting was so bad I could not ride at interstate speeds. I ended up with a 26" Madstad. I still get a little buffeting at some speeds but I can adjust to resolve. Interested to hear if the wings will fit or a revised set is available.

New member looking for givi mounting brackets.

I went with a 26" madstad and very pleased. Isn't there a set of the oem givi brackets in the classifieds? If not these is another set on Craigslist here in Florida.

    215/60/15 doesn't rub on RT?

Someone posted a few months back that the Tigerpaw was too tall and rubbed. As posted above, all tires are different sizes, even if they have the same size stamped on them. Personally, never cared for the Tigerpaw line. Always seemed more rounded instead of flat/square design. Hope that helps.
