• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone have ceramic brake pads? Any experience with Traild ceramic pads?

Yeah I am considering that Mikey. I did do that quite a bit when I serviced fronts

Anyone have ceramic brake pads? Any experience with Traild ceramic pads?

Got the brakes all done, and I followed Baja Ron’s bedding procedure of 60mph-20mph quickly with hard braking a few times, followed by several minutes of riding to allow them to cool down to normal operating temperature. All in all, it wasn’t too bad. But working on the rear brakes laying on the...

Anyone have ceramic brake pads? Any experience with Traild ceramic pads?

I do have new EBC rotors for the fronts as well as pads. I have actually talked to Ron, the man himself, on the phone and he was a great resource and help!! I do have a block long enough to catch both flanges. However, my jack stand has the v shaped top and is not flat. So I am working on...

Anyone have ceramic brake pads? Any experience with Traild ceramic pads?

Thanks Ron. I will lift at the center support, just in front of the muffler. Just thinking about where to support the rear, I don’t want to just trust the jack.

Anyone have ceramic brake pads? Any experience with Traild ceramic pads?

Brakes remain a work in progress. Got fronts done but due to work and other obligations I’m just getting to rear today. But a couple questions for you wise folks. 1. Is it necessary to bevel leading edge of and/or cut groove in new EBC sintered pads? I did not do that on fronts but am going to...

Anyone have ceramic brake pads? Any experience with Traild ceramic pads?

Disregard last question. Found my answer, 50 lbs-ft Search feature on forum didn’t find it but Safari found it on another thread here. Stay tuned for more updates on the work, if you’re interested. And yes Peter rear wheel off ground while braking is quite the feat!!

Huge shout out to Baja Ron! You have been an incredible resource both here on the forum and on phone as I had questions about the ultra sway bar, and a brake question. Ron sir, you are very genuine and your time was and is greatly appreciated! Because rotor grabbed more in one spot when I was...

Anyone have ceramic brake pads? Any experience with Traild ceramic pads?

Got into the brakes a bit today. Pulled that right front wheel that has some scoring on the outside of the rotor. But before taking it off, after breaking the lugs loose, I spun the wheel. It does not spin totally free. Brakes aren’t fully released apparently. Pulled the wheel and turning the...

Anyone have ceramic brake pads? Any experience with Traild ceramic pads?

Thanks again Ron for chiming in on my thread! Loads of valuable information. The OEM parts are a drawback, but I am concerned that there may be an issue with that right caliper. I do plan to pull both front tires and compare all pads, hopefully this week. One more question, is the Spyder like a...

Anyone have ceramic brake pads? Any experience with Traild ceramic pads?

I wondered that same thing. I do use engine braking a fair amount I feel. I have pretty much settled on EBC rotors. The inside of the right front rotor does not have any noticeable grooving. The outside isn’t bad, but it's definitely not as smooth as the inside; the left rotor seems good. My...

Anyone have ceramic brake pads? Any experience with Traild ceramic pads?

Absolutely, stopping when needed is better than ease in cleaning. My main consideration though was longevity. I was disappointed at pad life on my OE’s. It is something of an emergency now as I noticed some grooving in the outside of the right front rotor, at only 15K. So my Spyder is parked...

Anyone have ceramic brake pads? Any experience with Traild ceramic pads?

Have had good success with ceramic pads on vehicles. Longer life and less & easier to clean brake dust are primary reasons why. The wheels on my F3 Limited are very difficult to clean thoroughly with so many spokes and small crevices.

Anyone have ceramic brake pads? Any experience with Traild ceramic pads?

Needing new brake pads for my Spyder at just over 15,000 miles. I am wanting to go ceramic. Anyone have any recommendations for ceramic pads, or any experience with Traild ceramic pads? Thanks in advance

Anyone installed Luxemoto's LED Headlight Assembly? Any feedback?

Has anyone installed Luxemoto's LED headlight assembly with DRL & sequential turn signals? Or any Luxemoto items? I see it on Amazon for about $100 cheaper than the TricLED set that some other Spyder accessories vendors sell. Appreciate any feedback on those lights and/or the brand.

Brand new F3 - Cruise Control and Sport Mode not working.

No sport mode on F3L is correct. Owner's manuals are generally generic for all bike model lines and have a disclaimer in front stating something along the lines of not all features available on all models. Car manufacturers often do same thing.
