• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Front tires for a 2012 rt limited

Wheel setback I just had a nightmare experience. 175/65/14 barum tires, installed on a spare set of 3spoke rims, so I had the 6 spokes and original shaky kendas as backup. Everything seemed fine going on, but 1/2 mile into the test ride all heck broke loose. All kinds of warnings, and locked...

    Fog lights not working.

Well, that wasn't it. Replaced relay grip heat and fog lights still out. Drat.

    Fog lights not working.

Mouser part number? I love this site. Just lost my fogs, came here, yup, grip heat is out too. Do you have a number on that relay from Mouser by chance? Never mind, I found it 303-1AH-C-R1 UO1 12vdc. $4.56 now, and 4.99 to economy ship. Still way cheap.

Inaccurate speedometer / thermometer / clock

I think you can get an aftermarket combination sundial/weather rock/abacus ( for adding 2 to your mph) that will correct all these problems.

    Hidden Bass Setting?

That extra power does more than just provide bragging rights. In sound systems it provides headroom, or a power reserve. Assuming adequate speakers, that extra power helps prevent distortion from clipping. Consider a small displacement motorcycle, it may be able to do 70 mph, but will not...

    Spyder RT tire options

options Just did this myself. Lots of options, if your dealer will mount aftermarket tires for you. I put a Sumitomo HTR a/s P01 on the rear, in 215/60r15. BRP dealer did the install, with warnings about the diameter increase. I went with that tire because it was available locally, a...

    sumitomo tires

I am thinking he meant unidirectional, not omnidirectional. I have never heard of an omnidirectional tire.

    sumitomo tires

What is the difference between bi-directional and omnidirectional tires? A unidirectional tire is designed to be mounted one way only. There are only two ways to mount a tire.

    BEST, tranny problems, 2012 rt-s se5 12k miles.

resolved! Sorry the update took so long, it has been a busy few months. Talked to BRP a lot by email, providing every document I had, including a copy of the sales receipt. Even copies of original title, etc.... They replied that since BEST was not indicated on receipt, it wasn't included. I...

    BEST, tranny problems, 2012 rt-s se5 12k miles.

Looks like tranny may be ok. Searched a few other posts and went and checked my oil. It was right at the fill line. No codes showing when I checked. No time to ride right now, argh!

I never got any warranty card, I did get a road service card from BRP. Sucks that I can't even add to it now. Color me pissed. Not sure who is to blame. First brand new bike, and last. Likely last BRP product as well.

    BEST, tranny problems, 2012 rt-s se5 12k miles.

I didn't purchase additional warranty, it was a promotion at the time. BRP wants to see receipt per our email correspondence. On our jeep I purchased extended warranty, they have it in their records, easy peazy. I would have purchased additional warranty on Spyker but promo should have me...
