• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

Interesting, but not my understanding of the class. Although it may be a difference in Texas vs Tennessee. I took the 3wheel basic course. Upon completion I was given two documents. One I took to the BMV and they added the motorcycle endorsement to my driver's license. No restrictions. The...

Has anyone used the Semi rigid bag on their RT? Thoughts?

I have the 4-piece CAN-AM luggage set for my 2024 Spyder RT Sea2Sky. I took a trip recently, and used the saddlebags and the top case bag, but left the frunk bag at home. Instead, I have a Lowepro camera and computer case that fits well in the frunk. It holds my Canon DSLR camera, a couple of...

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

You don't lean the bike, but you do shift your weight into the turn...depending on your speed going around the turn. Consider taking a 3-wheel Basic Rider Course, as it teaches you a lot about how to handle a three wheeler. https://msf-usa.org/start-your-ride/basic-ridercourse-3-wheel/

    Spyder vs Georgia State Patrol

Georgia law seems to indicate it would be impounded until the owner provided proof that it had been registered and insured. And paid all the fees, including impounding and storage. I didn't find anything about crushing it, although I suspect if the owner refused to pay the fees it would...

Is there a paper Shop manual?

I think it's only a PDF. The website recommends printing it and putting it in a 3-ring binder. I wouldn't do that. But I would print the pages I need for a particular service I need to perform. That way when they get all oily and greasy while I'm working, I can just toss them in the recycle bin...

Apple Carplay - the good, the bad, and the really ugly

So I decided to take a ride this morning to get some breakfast, and Apple CarPlay won't work. I tried multiple cables, even cables that had previously worked fine. Tried different sequences of connecting the cables and turning things on. Nothing worked. So I grabbed the Garmin Zumo XT GPS I...

Is a replacement Lithium Battery the way to go? How have you installed yours?

If you've been using a battery tender, make sure it's designed for lithium batteries.

Having problems opening my '22 F3L Frunk - could it be the cable?

I've found that what works for me is to stand close to and facing the Spyder. I turn the key with my right hand to unlock the frunk, and while the key is still turned I use my left hand to lift the frunk lid.

What changes were made with the 2024 Spyder software update to V3.1?

No, they don't publish the details. The only detail I remember hearing about was the update in Spring 2024 when they announced that Apple Carplay was now available through a software update.

What changes were made with the 2024 Spyder software update to V3.1?

So I went out and took a couple of pictures. I did not take my helmet with me, so it was not bluetooth paired to the Spyder. I also did not plug in my iPhone, even though I did use it take these pictures. Engine running in Neutral: Engine running in 1st gear: So the large number in the...

What changes were made with the 2024 Spyder software update to V3.1?

If you are using Apple Carplay, then it does shift things around a bit, as the center and right side of the screen is taken over by the Carplay display. But the gear indicator is still there. I grabbed this image from the CAM-AM website, and resized it so it was smaller. The fuel gauge moved...

What changes were made with the 2024 Spyder software update to V3.1?

I can't answer your question about ECO mode without trying it on my 2024 Spyder. The gear "number" is in the lower left corner of the left side of the display. It displays R when in reverse, N when in neutral, and the number of the other gears. When the Spyder thinks you should shift up an...

What are your Phone Holder Preferences? Brand/style & placement?

It might have been where I mounted mine, which was right up against the left handgrip. And my iPhone was really bouncing around while I was riding when the Vibration Dampener was still installed.
