• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Tire water displacement?

Awhile back, Peter Aawen wrote that when mounting front tires, orient them so they force water out and away from the rear tire. Makes sense, right? My question is what if you are using Federal Formosa FZ-01 tires that are uni-directional? What say you, Peter (or Mike, or any other tire gurus)

Looking for help installing a shed-in-a-box and installing a sway bar

I'm about an hour closer, over in Canton, just west of Asheville. Was late in replying. Only two hours away. If you want to ride over, I'll install sway bar for free. ( O.k, maybe for a can of Coke])

Are Kenda K20 Kanines installed as OEM tires on the 2020 Spyders?

You ride a Ryker too? Wasn't going into burning buildings dangerous enough?

Fitting BajaRon F3 anti-sway bar links only - any good?

I have the links installed. Now can I just buy the bar at a reduced price?

Just how bad can tires be?

I agree with Peter also, if for no other reason than to read another 4000 word dissertation from him on all things Spyder!

Spyder Adventures 2020, Maggie Valley NC, Oct 2020

Maggie is my back yard. Right now, N.C is pretty much in a "mandatory mask" mode, but each day I see plenty of bikes at the hotels/lodges. Looking forward to seeing you this year!!!

    Agreeing to the rules issue

Hope I don't ruffle any feathers here, but I don't "log in" very often. Unless I have a question, I just like to see whats going on on the forum. But even just to look around, or lurk as some call it, I have to wait the 30 seconds and submit to rules that, if I was only a lurker, I...

I have to keep submitting also, but on my ladies tablet, it lets me right in. What up?

    Tire changers

Wondering for the future. Does anyone use a Harbor Freight tire changer? What needs to come off of the rear rim to put it on a changer? I know the belt sprocket comes off, but what about the center hole. Will that type changer be small enough diameter to slide over that type changer, or do we...

Is there a Hill Hold feature on my 2019 RTL?

Thanks, Navydad. I think I heard CoachBob say something about it on YouTube. Have to check again. Was just curious.

    Newbie Transmission question...

The SM transmission (ie manual) operates just like a regular motorcycle tranny. It does NOT downshift for you and WILL stall the engine if you don't hold the clutch in. I remember your first post on questioning which Spyder to buy. I highly recommend, as will others, that you find a newer 1330...

Is there a Hill Hold feature on my 2019 RTL?

Hi, all. 2019 RTL. I've seen some of the walk arounds on You Tube that say it has a "hill holder assist feature, but can't find anything in the owners manual about this. Anyone? (And please don't say thats what brakes are for) Maggie Valley and the Blue Ridge Parkway are practically empty due...

    Rear wheel removal

Good advice. What has to come off of the rear wheel to get it to fit over the post on a harbor freight type tire changer? Do the BEARINGS have to come out? Wondering for the future.
