• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Battery tender hookup

I'm partial to the Deltran Battery Tender brand.

    Pressed my luck

How long was the battery unplugged? Even a couple of months of being unplugged shouldn't kill it completely dead. Unless you have a parasitic drain of some kind. I'd be checking to make sure you don't have something running all the time. Even something like an aftermarket theft deterrent...

    F3 or F3 S - auto or manual?

This is true, just paddle and not foot and clutch. I keep forgetting it is Semi-automatic.

    F3 or F3 S - auto or manual?

Personally I like shifting, it makes me feel more a part of the process. My car is an auto, but it's a car and basically just transportation. For fun, I like shifting, but that's just me. I think you'll get the overwhelming response of preferring auto over manual. Diff'rent strokes...

    Gimme A Brake!

Best way is to pull the wheel, get a flashlight, and visually check the thickness of the remaining pad material. Not hard to do with the front brakes, but the rear can be checked with the wheel in place. At least on Peggy's STS, no bags. Both brake pads may not wear at the same rate, so just...

What's in your Spyder Tool Bag?

Credit Card. Oh, and cell phone. When I toured all over the states a couple decades ago, I never really carried any gear to speak of. And never really regretted it. Bikes are so reliable compared to British, Italian, and American from 60 years ago. And civilization usually isn't very far away...

    Tire date code comfirmation

Too bad you aren't closer to Missouri. I've got a Mark Parnes balancer with the VFR adapters, so I should be in good shape. And got the longer shaft to balance the rear too.

Tranny Slipping? Or is it just the oil?

IMO if that belt had been loose enough to slip a cog, you would most certainly have noticed. And the belt damage would be easy to see. If a cog belts slips, one or more to the cogs get torn off the belt.

    Tilting Ryker????

The answer to a question that was never asked seriously. Consider the Equa-Lean from many years back. Mostly they are proof of concept, but no one ever actually wanted one in enough numbers to make it a going concern.

OTOH having too many open accounts, even if you don't use them, can also impact your credit score.

    First oil change

Very likely with some things, especially styling cues, but things such as rapidly wearing front drive pulleys wouldn't seem to be driven by the marketing division.

    First oil change

Well, whether the Can Am and Rotax engineers know what their talking about is anybody's guess. Lots of people take what they say with a grain of salt. Many have issues with several of the designs by the Can Am and Rotax engineers. Heat issues with the early twins, up to and including fires...

    Which 2021 RT Limited cover?

That really stinks about having to take down your "garage". Sometimes, most times?, seems like cities just like to cause problems where none really exist.
