• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

First ride after adding seat gel hoping for more comfort, but nope, no change! What do do? Anybody made theirs better?

Some seat company’s will give you a short window to try with the option to return if not satisfied. If you go this route make sure you have a clear understanding of the return/refund details ahead of time. Poasttown 2019 F3L

What can I do to get a straight shot at the Rear Tire valve Stem?

This doesn’t really answer your question but once I found the best location to access the valve stem by rotating the tire, I placed a white dot on the wheel/sprocket as a marker where the valve stem is. This doesn’t solve the tire inflation issue but makes it easier and quicker to align your...

Did oil change & checked level properly; NO oil showing on dip stick - any ideas?

Is it possible to measure how much oil you drained out? I’m not sure this will tell you a lot but might be interesting to know. Poasttown 2019 F3L

What is involved with 'Validating the Low Pressure Switch' when doing a Brake Fluid Change? Does it need BUDS?

Thanks Peter and Snowbelt, useful info, and you have pointed me in the right direction. Snowbelt, your last paragraph was also helpful. Poasttown 2019F3L

What is involved with 'Validating the Low Pressure Switch' when doing a Brake Fluid Change? Does it need BUDS?

I have a procedural question concerning replacing old brake fluid with new by bleeding the brake lines on a 2019 F3L. I have experience bleeding brake lines. However, the last step in the maintenance manual states to “Validate the Low Pressure Switch”. Does this Validation step refer to using...

    Heads Up for RT622 owners

I am now under the impression that these wheel bearing are sealed and “maintenance free”. I will continue to include this in my regular inspection and if I see an issue I will go from there. The information presented above is and will be helpful. Thanks Poasttown 2019 F3L

    Heads Up for RT622 owners

My question relates to the Freedom trailer hub/bearings which may be the same as the 622. My bearing cover also has no lip for easy removal, it is flush with the hub plate. Is there an easy way to remove this cover without totally damaging the part? I don’t want to try to pry it off if for...

Does my Spyder need a belt tensioner? Should a 2020 RTL have one?

I installed a vibration dampener on my 2019 F3L. At hwy speeds, 70 mph, the vibration was terrible, not an exaggeration. The dealer confirmed the vibration and said a dampener would help. I did install the dampener and vibration is gone. I’m not sure why some spiders have the vibration, and some...

Are Freedom Trailer wheel bearings sealed & no maintenance required?

Thanks 2dogs. I’ve been waiting for a little warmer weather to look at the bearings on my freedom trailer. Being that the trailer is only a few years old and has only moderate use I think all is well. However, my concern is the actual grease applied at the factory. In the “old days” when...

Are Freedom Trailer wheel bearings sealed & no maintenance required?

I looked in the Freedom trailers user guide concerning greasing the wheel bearings and found no mention of applying bearing grease as a maintenance item. It said the bearings and wheel hub are one assembly and to replace the bearings the entire hub must be replaced. Question; are the wheel...

Think of changing from Freewheeler - is the Spyder any easier &/or safer?

One way to get some spyder seat time is to take one of BRPs training courses. Even though I went into this course with a number of years riding it allowed me the opportunity to get the feel of the spyder and the associated learning curve in a controlled environment. Plus, we had different...

    2024 Tour Planning

About 15 years ago a group of us visited a tiger and lion rescue center in the Eureka Springs area called Turpentine Creek Wildlife Rescue. At that time they would take in tigers from individuals and organizations for various reasons. It was an interesting visit. From what I understand they...
