• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How do you '24 RT riders pair BT headsets with Android Phones?

I rely on the headset for 1) communicating with the wife and 2) connecting with the phone. I've learned that if I want these two priority connections to work, don't pair with anything else.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Yesterday, I sacked up two drowned chipmonks and took them to our county "convenience center". I rode the Spyder for this. First time I've been in the saddle since late June (prostate and then shoulder surgery). Felt good!

Venting about Tire wear and alignment...

All of this leads me to guard my present alignment settings carefully. With over 13k miles on the OEM Kenda fronts, they still look less than half-worn and very even. The rear has already been replaced. Very similar tire mileage to my GL1800, it seems. Either Can-AM built it right, or...

AC joint separation - have you ridden the Spyder with one?

Ride to and from the meeting last night went fine. Just tiring. Only occasional movements causing pain, so... don't think me stuck-up if you don't see the "biker's wave" returned by me. For some reason it really hurts. Other than that, donning and buckling the helmet and operating the Bluetooth...

What add-on parts are best and necessary on 2023 RT Ltd?

I would suggest first spending the funds on gas, oil, tires, motel rooms, good food, etc. If you have comfort issues, there are good backrests (Utopia) and seat cushions (Airhawk). Bug screens are nice, but remember to clean them daily in high bug season.

Has anybody installed the OEM adjustable wind deflectors on 2020+ RTL?

I had them installed before delivery. A bit of a let-down compared to Bakers, but the uppers are somewhat effective. I'd hate to consider summer riding without something there. The lowers do funnel rain onto you, but I have not felt much air from them.

AC joint separation - have you ridden the Spyder with one?

PT yesterday (my 2nd) was a bit rougher. The PT doctor said riding is OK, just judge by pain. I plan to roll both vintage bikes out of the garage today and drain the float bowls. Ride the Spyder in for our vintage bike meeting. It's about 20 miles one-way.

AC joint separation - have you ridden the Spyder with one?

I go in for round 2 PT tomorrow am. I'll ask him about riding. So far, he says for PT to "kiss the pain, but don't make out with it". Riding the Spyder gives less pain than the PT so far. My ROM is rapidly improving. Kind of surprising me at 71. I was only in the sling until I saw my ortho (for...

AC joint separation - have you ridden the Spyder with one?

No. It is just a level 2/3 separation (~10mm). For those they stick to PT.

AC joint separation - have you ridden the Spyder with one?

Last month a car pulled in front of my '76 RD400c from a hidden drive and I went over its hood into a ditch. Separated my left shoulder AC joint. Have started PT and yesterday rode the Spyder around the neighborhood a bit to check the ability. No pain at all from riding, just donning and...

2024 Models Are On the Can-Am Site

I watched the videos CanAm posted to their Youtube channel. I'm an Android user, but even if I was an Apple user, it would not attract me. Maybe fixing the radio and amp, auto mode switching would be attractive. My '06 GL1800 had much better sound. Giving a way to skip acknowledgment of the nag...

How I got to ride in this hot southwest summer this year - 2023

I thought the dessert Southwest was perfect for evaporative cooling.

Dropped bolt down steering column hole - is it ferrous? Likely recovery locations?

Glad you found it - for your sanity and sleep! Void? Hmm. On the GoldWing, it is referred to as the "Honda Hole".

Trailer Choices - what options & pros/cons? Recommendations?

We pull an old (New Zealand manufactured), upgraded Uni-go. Pulled it behind the '06 GL1800. Now behind the '21 RTL. I modified one (had a spare) of my Uni-go hitches to bolt in place of the ball on the Spyder hitch. We've pulled it to Birmingham, AL from North of Knoxville, TN twice. Love that...
